Rogan was best known for the show Fear Factor.  And, of course, a color commentator for the UFC.  But he was mostly another comedian.  There's absolutely nothing in his background, experience, or present-day that even hints that he has an IQ over 12, knows something about anything, and has any principles.  He's another guy who used other media platforms to build his appeal and then moves into podcasting, where he rambles on about little or nothing, throws out some slogans, and so forth.  He hasn't done anything noteworthy outside of entertainment.  And so, that's what you get.  But you can see that he has danced with some of the worst bigots and antisemites, like Dave Smith, another comedian (although nobody is familiar with him outside of the internet world), and has gone from doing the doggie paddle in the toxic swamp to the breaststroke.  Now, he trashes Trump fairly regularly and attacks MAGA.  Just another user and opportunist.  I suspect the UFC audience much prefers Donald Trump to Joe Rogan, if it came down to it.   Bring it on ...

@GadSaad I meet all the criteria. How much would you invoice me for a 90 min debate on "deontological isolationism"?

I've often been asked what are the conditions that would cause me to accept an invitation for a debate. The key criteria are: 1) whether the interlocutor with whom I might be interacting is acting in good faith; 2) whether we have a shared epistemology for adjudicating competing claims; 3) related to item 1, whether it is conceivable that the person in question might alter their position if presented with compelling evidence; 4) that the person in question is equally committed to truth rather than "winning," "cooking," or "destroying" their opponent; 5) whether they have an IQ higher than my belt; 6) that their knowledge level on the matter to be debated is greater than that of my elliptical. For example, I don't debate young earth creationists, flat-earthers, or Holocaust deniers for one if not more of the latter criteria. Hope this helps.

@EuropaActual @LSpoonerd No it wasn't. The fact people have to keep insisting it is proof it wasn't. You wouldn't have to keep protesting it (as Smith himself does) otherwise. Murray was the best man during that episode. It was a 2-vs-1 tag-team against him, and he held his own.

Okay, so here's what I've thought about Joe Rogan for almost four years. Rogan doesn't have fixed principles. He has takes, and he has vibe. I would argue he is the crown prince of takes and vibe. Rogan is the coolest kid in class. And he will change his mind on issues (and people) whenever it suits him. If he thinks it's cool to be seen talking to you one year, he will do it. But if suddenly it's (later) cool to be shitting on you? He'll also do it. Cool kid is as cool kid does. Joe's weather vane is forever aimed in the direction of what he perceives to be "cool" and there isn't a heap of ethical discernment happening. Again, just takes and vibe.

@LSpoonerd The day Dave Smith argued with Douglas Murray last year, was the most important day of Dave Smith's life. But for Douglas Murray, it was Tuesday.

@LSpoonerd @Bl00dOld @ComicDaveSmith Please. You are responding to a person who is pretending to not know how YT data works. Let's give that up. You believe that manipulation is true? Very disappointed in this account if that's the case.

The best part is watching people like rogan, dilllon, and dave smith all abandon ship and act like they didn't totally endorse this and benefit greatly from it.
Spencer Pennington@SpencerWP

@TheQuartering I actually agree that this is pretty cowardly, especially on Rogan’s part. I’m anti-MAGA to the core, but Rogan and his extended universe of dudebros helped get Trump elected in ‘24. This reality is exactly what the Roganverse endorsed, platformed, and voted for. They own this.

Compulsive retard Dave Smith calls Gad Saad a Mossad agent… He then goes on to say that "murdering" an Ayatollah is somehow dangerous. To be this morally delusional is really the peak of retardation.

As someone who has been to many of @ComicDaveSmith's sold out shows, it's so weird to me that you guys keep trying this line of "failed comedian" Like say he's uninformed or wrong but this stupid line of attack here is just objectively false and desperate
Ashton Forbes@AshtonForbes

Joe Rogan's influence and views fallen off a cliff because his content has become unwatchable. He repeatedly brings on the dumbest, most uninformed guests who no one is interested in hearing their opinions. Dave Smith is a random nobody failed comedian who should never have been elevated to the national stage.

The West Bank is not a country. Gaza is not a country. This is stupid. There has been a two state solution in place for decades, and those two states are Israel and Jordan. Anybody who believes “Palestine” is an actual state and people lives in an utter Jew hating fantasy land.
