@LSpoonerd It was way more than that in the 80s, like triple the price. close to 8x increase is still really bad inflation coupled with shrinkflation but people really need to stop making it sound worse than it is as it gives ammo when people point it out.

I went swimming with daughters and my 15 year old found a $1 bill in the pool. I told her not to spend it all in one place. She just looked at me saying this isn’t going to buy me anything. She placed the dollar in the ground and left it. 15 year old me would have got a 🥤&🍫

@vic_blankenship I remember $0.29 hamburgers on Tuesday’s and $0.39 cheeseburgers on Wednesday. I remember Big Mac’s being around $0.99. It’s been a long time.

@LSpoonerd There was 280% inflation between those years and I don't remember 50¢ Big Macs in 1980. I was a senior in high school and burned through pounds of weed then. Definitely would remember that
