In Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan, young boys some as young as 4 years old, are routinely sold by their own families into a practice called Bacha Bazi. These boys are forced to dance and perform for groups of older men, and are then sold to the highest bidder to be sexually abused for the night. This is not a fringe phenomenon. It is a widespread cultural practice in parts of the Muslim world, where young boys are turned into sexual playthings for adult men. Many victims end up committing suicide after years of rape and abuse. Not all cultures are equal. And some are fundamentally incompatible with basic human decency.

Iran has now suspended all diplomatic communication and messages with the United States. The IDF has also issued evacuation warnings for people in Lebanon to leave or face risk of death.
