Seldom in warfare does an enemy provide you a single target like Kharg Island that could dramatically alter the outcome of the conflict. If Iran loses control or the ability to operate its oil infrastructure from Kharg Island, its economy is annihilated. He who controls Kharg Island, controls the destiny of this war.

Check the E-1 estimates yourself. Traffic's a separate beast (infrastructure, tourism, etc.). What's your source on the drop?

So many people have left San Diego that we dropped from 7th to 8th Largest City... yet traffic is somehow worse.
It's by design not a coincidence...
PS. 2nd Ave and Front St exit had K rails dropped in one of the offramp lanes for no reason. @SDCaltrans why?

All day, I’ve been tagged and asked to comment on the circulating claims about a US Navy submarine firing a torpedo during Operation Epic Fury. While an SSN torpedo kill against an Iranian ship is entirely plausible given our capabilities, at this time I’m calling this an unsubstantiated rumor. It began this morning as a few accounts making statement it may occur during this conflict, some tagging me. Around noon here on the west coast, that turned into quote posting of those statement claiming they were rumors. Then, about three hours later, accounts (I won’t name names) started quote-posting those as established fact. After a deep dive across CENTCOM releases, official US Navy statements, credible OSINT, satellite imagery, and X; I find zero evidence it actually happened. No videos, no after-action reports, no imagery, no claims that aren’t quoting one of the original rumors. While it may be plausible, I urge caution. Rumors travel at Mach 3 and get upgraded to “confirmed” way too fast. I will wait for verified information while simultaneously praying that every single shipmate comes home safely.
