This is the kind of thing I’m talking about that is being smuggled in. It’s wicked.

Last few days have taught me a lesson. There’s much I like about the CN movement. Particularly the political theory. But man, so many of the CN cosplayers are nothing short of unregenerate, self-deceived, boys. They are not Christian.

Being fat is one of the many sins the CN fanboys have no grace to forgive. For the record, yes, gluttony is a sin, yes, I’ve been a glutton much of my life, and yes, I’m in the process of fixing that. Gonna take time. But heavens above these people are hateful.

Both sides of our current culture have a fetish for associations. We should reject it and consider only substance. Are the tune or lyrics Nazi? Then use it.

Glad Zach spoke out. It’s a big mistake to let the gospel be distorted by Nazis with their own agenda. I’m hoping Ogden will repent. I was listening to @Brian_Sauve new album and was so blessed by it. It had me in tears as a father. I hate that they are letting their ministry get overshadowed by a political ideology that should have been left to the history books.

@Lockhart_KY I saw somewhere about your wedding music dilemma. Brother, while I don’t see much wrong with listening and enjoying it for what it is, I would not use it at my wedding.

@JoelBuck8 @CenturionOFaith *lazy. You assume based on one thread what I believe or what I have seen, and choose to jump to vitriol instead of conversation. In your zeal, you are unwilling to discuss and choose to insult. Universal you, of course, not specific necessarily.

@ChristOverChaos I picked that one out of many, stretching back to the original thread I commented on. My point stands. I asked a question, and received little but hate for it. That simply is not Christlike behavior. Others have not acted like this btw. Some were very civil.

@mills4grist That was all actually part of my original question when this broke out. What material was actually there, what was actually being said in the material, and for what purpose was it being distributed? But nobody cares. I questioned, therefore I’m the enemy.

@Lockhart_KY Yes I understand. 1. "Allowed" by the conference organizers? Would you prefer they bar the vendor from the event? 2. Is it the authorship or the content that you find objectionable? Which specific works and on what grounds?

@ChristOverChaos Thing is, I didn’t lecture or critique. Not when this all started. I asked a question. And that, apparently, was just too much.

@Lockhart_KY This came across my TL so w/out knowing the details I say yes. As pro CN I am absolutely unwilling to tolerate lecture or critique from an obese person. It is literally a sign of a lifetime of no self control and bad choices. Glad to hear you're working on it.

@MrRobertForge I appreciate the prayers, sincerely. I’ll take all I can get. Stepping back is probably sound advice too. I am angry, both in how I’ve been treated over this and in how this smudges Christ’s name. That anger could lead to sinful actions on my part. Thank you for the civility.

There may be more context as to why you’re getting the hate you’ve received recently, but going off face value I do agree that some of the responses are inappropriate. Also looking at your responses, my encouragement for you is to take a step back from X, especially the conflicts, while you prep for your wedding and your soon-to-be wife. The conflicts going on is part of ongoing wars between Christian factions, and respectfully all you’re doing is adding to the quarrels, even if you mean well. Praying your wedding goes well, your weight loss journey meets its completion, and that you’re able to be quicker to listen and slower to speak and anger (which is something everyone on here needs).

@mills4grist I’m asking why a vendor was allowed to sell Nazi material at a Christian conference. Thats 100% of what I wanted to know. And boy, do a lot of people hate me for that question.

@Lockhart_KY Are you implying they should have vetted vendors specifically for books written by Nazis? Or any books that do not explicitly condemn the Nazis? What would be your preferred purity test here?
