@C_NyaKundiH Dragging the name of a committed public servant to this mess is hitting below the belt. @GeoffreyKaituko appeared before PAC yesterday and responded to all the queries satisfactorily. Those responsible must be held accountable. PS Kaituko is worth his salt.

Ministry of Mining Principal Secretary Geoffrey Kaituko is under fire after revelations surfaced about the misuse of Ksh. 2 million allocated for office tea in FY 2021/22. During a recent session before the National Assembly's Public Accounts Committee, Kaituko was questioned about the Ksh 28 million in per diem payments, with Ksh 11.7 million purportedly spent on field activities and the remaining Ksh 2.1 million on office tea and other administrative costs.

@C_NyaKundiH The report before PAC is for the FY 2021/22 when @Nancykarigithu was PS. PS @GeoffreyKaituko is a Man with a clear track record. He has never been mentioned adversely in his many years of public service. Most recently, he was ranked as one of the best performing PSs.

Kenya has been RE-ELECTED to the Council of @IMOHQ after competitive elections. We got 128 votes out of 168. We thank all the nations which voted for us . We got immense support from @ForeignOfficeKE , especially, our High Commissioner to the UK, Amb. @MEsipisu and his officers(Martin Owuor, Diana Wanjiku and Humphrey Ruto). Visited pastoralists in Loya and Lokiriama, who are part of our community's returning from Karamoja, Uganda. The County Government is committed to addressing the challenges these communities face, such as ensuring access to clean water and providing relief food.

Participated in Turkana Lawyers Summit held in Loropio , on the shores of Lake Turkana. It gave us an opportunity to discuss the myriad challenges faced by, and the array of opportunities available to, legal professionals within the county. I serve as their Patron.

Ten years ago today, I had the honour and privilege of being elected as the FIRST SPEAKER @TurkanaAssembly. That was historic ,because I had to build the Assembly from scratch. I am proud of the work we did together with pioneer MCAs and the staff.
