The Bill seeks to amend the Sports Act to prohibit and criminalize match fixing and manipulation of sports competitions in Kenya. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, where feedback will be received and reviewed by the Departmental Committee on Sports and Culture before Second Reading in Parliament.
