I'm a nobody posting into the abyss for the hell of it.

If they're going to add more story, it 100% needs to involve them far more than it does Kliff.
But as for the way they play, I think Damiane is a very powerful character. I've been using her to complete bosses out in the world and do side quests.
The only overhaul they need is to give them certain Abyss related powers Kliff has alone so I don't have to keep switching to him to do mundane things like picking up something to store in the Kuku Pot.

@Playnext1 Yup, he's locked out completely during most chapters. You only really get full unlimited access to him once you finish the story chapters.
English

@GeraltofGoonia The Crimson Desert area does have more brown people since it's an African/Arabic/Indian themed area.
English

@lastchalice I'm really enjoying the story and like that Kliff is a reluctant hero who still wants his world to be just about the Greymanes while people he meets along the way with knowledge he doesn't have yet are thrusting him to be something more.

@portugassis After making Hernand a peaceful place, it's where I go to relax and do all the lifestyle things. I play minigames in Hernand, I go to the bank, I mine ore there. In other areas outside of Hernand, there are still lots of badguys to slay, the mission of peace is far from over.

Oongka hasn't been available for me the majority of the game so he's pretty much locked until after you complete the story.
Damiane has been a big surprise in combat once you give her dual rapiers and a lance. She closes in on enemies much quicker, she does huge amounts of damage to individual targets quickly, especially when you combine the spear with dual rapiers and weapon switch often to keep enemies off balance.
I've defeated a few bosses with her out in the world and found it easier to use her than Kliff because she dodges better and gets it close to deal precise hits then is able to back off quicker as well.
She plays entirely differently from Kliff so she's really fun when you want to change things up.
I imagine Oongka will be the same way as well.

And both characters are crap and not worth unlocking.
GermanStrands@GermanStrands
There aren’t many games that unlock an entirely new playable character after 60+ hours.

@KamuiTakegami I've been wearing it since I got it. I didn't realise there was such a history behind the necklace since I have never played Black Desert Online. Despite that, I understood that it was powerful without knowledge of it previously.

If this was any other game in the past, we'd have to declare video games in general as a failure.
However, I'm sure this new standard you've adopted all of a sudden will persist in future releases, yes? I doubt it. This feigning of consistency isn't on my part.
I've been playing video games since the 80s and suddenly now if a game isn't perfect in every conceivable aspect, it's considered a failure.

@LynkFormer @RinoTheBouncer Main quest bugged
Npc not spawning
Eyes hurting in the dark.
I mean… If this was any other game it would be an outrage, but apparently some decided it was GOTY.

I've seen people call Crimson Desert a buggy mess, but I was there for Cyberpunk 2077s launch and that game was falling apart as I was playing it to the point where the NPCs and missions were breaking all around me.
Even if Crimson Desert hadn't received a single patch since launch, this game runs really well with obly minor issues in terms of bugs.
The highest thing people seem to complain about ie that they thought this would be just like every other game they played, but the moment they had to do something slightly different, their brain malfunctioned.
English

@LynkFormer @RinoTheBouncer I answered thoroughly 😄 but really that's no big deal at all.
Yeah you're right, its a real issue in many games !
That's why I liked Kingdom Come so much. And also Cyberpunk but because I adopted a really low intensity, stealth&hack style. And super immersive story !
English

@IR3d3y3I @RinoTheBouncer Hpw the hell is this a broken and unfinished game? I've played hundreds of games over the years since the 80s, many of which were barely holding together.
Crimson Desert doesn't have any issues other than people being too retarded to learn how to play and whining.
English

@LynkFormer @RinoTheBouncer For you to give this game a 9 when there's major issues in this game tells me you are ok with broken unfinished games.. and that's ok but you're opinion isn't going to be taken seriously
English

@Scarface2k1 It is a 2 week break and I'm still in the first week.
English

I've played 187+ hours of this game and I'm not even close to eradicating every badguy from the map. Hernand itself is getting close, but not everywhere else.
And the entire point of doing this is so that those areas become peaceful and you can relax and do everyday life things.
IGN aren't shaking the allegations that they really just want to complain about Crimson Desert and nitpick the strangest things due to them wanting to hate this game and wishing it wouldn't succeed
IGN@IGN
Crimson Desert has a huge map that will take most players over 100 hours to explore, but now some are starting to complain that the open world has become too peaceful — because they’ve killed everyone. bit.ly/3OllZUk
English

@PhilippeSaiz @RinoTheBouncer I didn't realise we were taking this so ultra seriously.
I guess every video game in the past that has the things you describe, which a hell of a lot over the last 3-4 decades must really be garbage.
English

@LynkFormer @RinoTheBouncer But overall, its the distorsion between a carefully designed slow pace medieval fantasy world,
and your hero that runs arround in ultra armor and flies and smashes like a Diablo character...
I would not feel part of that world. Its just an artificial playground
English

@NintendoSavant I hope it comes out on the Switch 2 and runs well so that people on that system have access to Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition, Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, Elden Ring, and Crimson Desert.
English

@Ryandally08 Oh look. Another irrelevant cooker defending a war criminal.
English

@m7mdkingi @Playnext1 No, it's after that. He becomes unavailable again at the start of chapter 10 which I find hilarious since the first time made it seem like it would be the only time that happened... but nope!
