My Story…… I wasn’t diagnosed by our county’s head of ME/CFS services despite seeing him privately in 2012. He said I had fibromyalgia which I agreed but I knew that my fatigue began after an infection along with several viruses inc Epstein Barr.

@lunettaporchett I’ve just got used to it tbh. I’ve got to that point now where I simply don’t have the energy to keep going to hospital for tests! I’m just so exhausted mentally and physically. Unfortunately, I no longer have faith in the NHS and I’m an ex nurse. So sad! X

@ME_Bev7 I’m so sorry you’re not getting good answers or care. I’ve been sent to hospital by GP as my O2 was in the 80’s. They didn’t know what was causing it. It normalised on its own, but it must be so scary to be sent home with no improvement or diagnosis ❤️‍🩹

I don’t think the public are aware that you can be so sick that hospitals & A&E can’t, or won’t, help you. I’ve had it happen a few times. Even acknowledged I was extremely sick but had no idea what to do so sent me home. My BP was 227/176. They had no idea what was wrong.

@lunettaporchett Was meant to attend outpatient appointment this week for respiratory tests but was too fatigued to attend. Still experiencing intermittent breathlessness & air hunger. A&E is only for life or death cases it seems. If they can’t find the cause you’re sent home 🤦‍♀️

@lunettaporchett I was taken to A&E in Feb by ambulance due to breathlessness. I couldn’t sustain good O2 sats so was on O2 for 20 hours. CT scan & X-ray ‘only’ showed atelectasis. Was transferred to a ward & because nothing serious was found O2 removed & sent home still in the same state! 🤷‍♀️ 1/

@KSchnickelfritz Thank you Kirsty for sharing this. I can’t see anything beautiful from my bedroom as we live on a side road, but we also have shutters. But I can’t cope with too much light anyway so it’s so much easier to see beautiful scenes from a short video. Spring has sprung! 🌼

As a couple of you know, I’m back in hospital. Have been here a week, some incredibly poorly moments where mum stayed with me overnight. Stabilised a little. Back in my usual room, usual ward (thankfully because although the staff on AMU were brilliant, being in a bay was hard)
