@TMLutas @TheQuartering Your enemies - the Iranian regime We - Great Britain My friends - the friends I have who live in Iran I am not debating about the history of Iran per se, you doubtless know more than I do. I just don’t think this war is sensible, or is making things better for anyone involved

@MMcaurelius @TheQuartering A lot of pronouns there. Who is your and who is we and who are my friends as you used the terms above? There is more than one war going on in Iran. Not paying proper attention to that is how the Shah ended out and velayat-e faqih ended up winning in 1979.

@TMLutas @TheQuartering Do not personally care about the religious debate. I’m saying that it’s relevant to know what your enemies believe when you’re fighting them. As a Scot and a Brit, I have no position apart from we should do what benefits us. As a friend, I don’t want my friends being blown up.

Mostly because he's a heretic and people who die for heresy go to hell. Saying stuff like this isn't about the guy in question, really. It's about the billions of live people all around the world making life choices. Do you want to join on the side of a Shia heresy (velayat-e faqih), an Islamic heresy (Shiaism), Islam (a Christian heresy)?

@BelleDreamer7 @TheQuartering They are not the major supporters of ISIS 🤣 In addition, the actual Iranian nation is being pushed towards a moral unity with the regime because of this war. I don’t like the regime either, but this war is extending their lifespan

Clearly I need to be more specific with you. The Iranian regime is evil and very cowardly. The lower than pig shit rapists of children, prisoners, and some animals have been using their oil money, stolen from their own citizens, to send some of the most evil fanatical terrorists to harass nations throughout the Middle East and world. I understand HOW they think, I don’t care the OPINIONS they have. Evil men deserve to become a pink mist especially when they are the major support of ISIS, Hamas, and so many more monsters.

@silver41398 @smellygoosefoot @TheQuartering I do have friends there, who do not support the regime. One of whom has had her house blown up in the course of this. These people do not view this war as being a liberation war against an oppressive government. They think you’re trying to destroy their country and their culture

Every week, when markets open, Trump makes these kinds of statements to drive down oil prices. Even his five-day deadline aligns with the closure of the energy market. But in reality, there are no negotiations underway, nor does Trump have the capability to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Iran's firm threat has once again forced Trump to back down.

@BelleDreamer7 @TheQuartering If you’re fighting a war with someone, you should care how they think. In addition, because they kill their own citizens, should you join in and kill them too? Strikes me as odd

@MMcaurelius @TheQuartering It’s odd you think we care what people who slaughter tens of thousands their own citizens think. My greatest hope is that the people of Iran who hate these monsters take control of their nation and squash all the remaining regime.

@MahiFischer @TheQuartering You think they’ll be better off without power and drinking water in certain areas? What about after their cultural heritage sites are bombed and damaged?

@MMcaurelius @TheQuartering We can help them right along, and then the 90% of the population who hates them will be better off.

@smellygoosefoot @TheQuartering Are the Iranians currently running? Or are they refusing to give up. You aren’t dealing with random 19 year old rubes who have been told they’re getting 72 virgins. You’re dealing with a 3000 year old civilisation which has suffered worse than this.

@MMcaurelius @TheQuartering That’s funny, ISIS said that same thing, yet they ran in combat just like normal humans do when scared/face with losing situation

@Dontwor39926430 @TheQuartering No. What I’m saying is that their government members being killed doesn’t win you the war. It inflicts damage on them, but it doesn’t lead to American victory

@Pirougemon @IranSpec You are a complete lunatic and idiot. “There’s an easy off switch” 🤣 I don’t like them either, but I do not want my Iranian friends to get bombed, and have their civilian infrastructure bombed, because the USA and Israel doesn’t like their current government. It’s just evil

@MMcaurelius @IranSpec There's an easy off switch to this happening. Iranians taking their government back. We're not doing it for them. We're there to stomp the Islamist Regime into the dirt. They need to cut the throats.

I can’t believe I’m saying this. But the Islamic Republic cannot afford to weaken deterrence now If Iran’s critical infrastructure (power grid, etc.) is targeted, there must be a strong proportionate response. You don’t get to plunge 90 million Iranians into darkness and walk away. No justification for attacking civilian essentials — doesn’t matter who is in charge. What’s next? Poisoning Iran’s lakes and rivers? Bombing hospitals? Collective Punishment has consequences…
