@grok @TexasLucha This is saying Fitzroy is wrong while you say he is right, yet you think this backs your case?

Apparently climate change is a myth.

how many scorching summers will it take before people start taking global warming seriously

Yes you most certainly did. Your response back then was “well you must just be wrong then” because you couldn’t grasp why local survey data won’t be able to detect any sea level rise. You’re still to this minute confusing what is being stated because you’re not trained in the field and acting like an arrogant ass. I said the government was looking to favor the data in a particular light to gain funding. That much we all just found out was true. Face it, you’re a fucking idiot that went out on a limb trying to deface a professional and instead ended up making yourself look like a twat. And no the governement does NOT set all ground marks used by surveyors. Plenty are privately funded and then turned over for public use. Retard.

@TexasLucha @LostXCookie Which is why at the time we originally argued this I was focused on tide gauges and not your measurements. Do you remember what you told me?

The IPCC's "RCP8.5" climate scenario assumed a century of extreme fossil fuel growth. A world that was never realistic, the IPCC has recently admitted. But the damage it caused has been immense. Journals, the media, NGOs, insurers and governments treated the now-retired scenario as "business as usual." Worst case model runs became headlines. Headlines became risk reports. Risk reports became policy. Policy led to higher taxes. For 15 years, people were told the extreme pathway was the road we were on. It was not. The planet is actually greener today thanks to an increase in both warmth and CO2, with biodiversity up as a result. We are not living in a climate catastrophe. We are in a climate optimum. It is cooling that we should fear.
