I was interviewed about AI & here’s what I said: I believe in the idea of a writer’s voice—a unique voice that’s particular to you, that only you can write with. & I really work hard to develop that with my students. AI will never have your voice—it cannot touch that voice.

I really hope we have a whole cultural revolution against AI that centers art and literature. I want stuff from human hands, made using human imagination, honed skill, and care of craft.

It’s an outrage that @jkbjournalist has never won the Pulitzer Prize for her trailblazing, courageous work. A question for everyone serving on the Pulitzer board: Why?

You can pull off anything if you stop giving a shit about what doesn't matter (approval, accolades, etc.) and start giving a shit about what does (fun, self-improvement, etc.). That routine was like the climax of a movie. Still thinking about it, could change the sport.

Most underrated way to have instantly better health: in the moments you want to be mean and critique yourself say "it's ok to make mistakes" "you're doing better every day" and "I do not have to rush, I can rest and go slow."
