I hope my husband had a very uncomfortable day at work today.
I hope all of his female coworkers asked what he did for me for Mother’s Day.
And I hope he had to tell them the truth.
Nothing.
No flowers.
No card.
No breakfast.
No last-minute grocery store bouquet grabbed on the way home.
Nothing at all.
Meanwhile, I am the mother of his children. The same children I carried, delivered, and continue to keep alive on a daily basis.
I didn’t even want anything extravagant. A handwritten card, a cup of coffee, or somebody else loading the dishwasher would have been enough.
Instead, the day came and went like it was a random Tuesday.
The most impressive part is that he genuinely seemed surprised when I was hurt.

This is a hard article to read, but I hope you'll do so. I've spent some time reporting on widespread rape and other sexual violence of Palestinian male and female prisoners by Israeli authorities, and the article is now published. The assault victims were warned not to give speak of what they endured -- they were sometimes told they would be killed or raped if they gave interviews -- but they found the courage to do so. One man described being raped three times in a single day in Israeli prison, the third time after he tried to protest. A young woman said the guards would come in at the beginning of each shift and strip her naked and abuse her. Another reported that she was shown photos of herself being raped and warned they would be released unless she cooperated with Israeli intelligence. Even three children who had been detained told me they had been sexually abused. Look, whatever our position on the Middle East, we should be able to agree on being anti-rape. Sexual assaults were horrific when Israeli women were targeted on Oct. 7, and they're equally horrific when Israeli authorities use them against Palestinians day after day after day. It truly seems there may have been a mismatch in assigned roles.
Women are running circles around men both in education and obtaining employment right now.
Meanwhile, so many men swear being a SAH parent is the easiest and most desirable job in the world.
So let nature take its course - women can be the breadwinners and men can be in the caretaking role. I see nothing wrong with this.

He is 100% correct. When I was a stay at home dad it was the easiest most carefree, most relaxing time of my life. It was so rich and fulfilling being around my daughter all day every day, and then I would work nights after she went to sleep. All the women crying about unpaid labour are just gold digging grifters lying to you. It really is like a vacation.

@MarieIsabellaB @mattvanswol No. The goal of treatment is to get him to a place where he can understand the legal process and participate in his own defense. If he’s actively psychotic he can’t do that. Once able to understand/participate legal proceedings against him will proceed.

DeCarlos Brown Jr. could now receive TAXPAYER FUNDED therapy, counseling, and medical treatment.

State court already ruled it.
The federal examiners just signaled the same thing.
So the trial probably gets delayed.

They couldn't be bothered to keep him off the streets when it might have saved her life.
Now they can't be bothered to make him face what he did.
