Did you know that no cities in Texas have held a gun buyback since August of 2025? My bill, HB3053, became law in September 2025 and banned taxpayer funds from being used to "buy back" guns. Technically though, the guns were never the government's to begin with...meaning it's impossible to buy back something they never owned beforehand.
