@ApplesClubs The Samsung Galaxy Fold 7 boasts exceptional build quality. The Oppo Find N6, meanwhile, features a foldable screen rated for up to one million folds. Foldable phones are now a mature product category, not just a novelty.

📱 Apple’s iPhone Ultra could set a new benchmark. Stronger build, better display, and finally a foldable that doesn’t feel fragile. If this lands right, competitors might have a real problem. Apple entering foldables isn’t just another launch… it’s a shift. 👀

@AnxiousHolly Apple will take advantage of a market that other companies have built and matured, that's the Apple way.

Apple is going to make foldable phones popular true or false?

@ShishirShelke1 It won't be a new category, that category already exists. They don't want to go mainstream with their first foldable, which is a good thing.

The iPhone Fold form factor actually makes a lot of sense. You get a compact ~5.5” outer display (basically like an iPhone mini) and when unfolded it becomes a ~7.8” screen close to an iPad mini. That’s great for content and multitasking. I think one of the reasons why Apple chose this approach is because they don’t want it to just be a Pro Max that unfolds. They’re trying to create a completely new category instead of mimicking a slab phone.

@TheGalox_ We'll see how it shakes out, but at least for me, I don't see what the big deal is. However, if it gives people that like that form factor an option, I think that's a good thing.

I watch videos on my phone, but probably twice a day at most. Series and movies are on my laptop and TV It's why I don't see an advantage to wide foldables. All it's doing is taking a Z Fold7, slicing it in half and then making it a bit wider The amount of space lost everywhere else like when reading articles or books, taking notes and so on just to get the same video size as on that Z Fold7 but without black bars is not worth it for me

@TheGalox_ Absolutely correct. However, it doesn't mean that companies shouldn't strive to eliminate it.

Crease is honestly not an issue on foldables. Doesn't get in the way of anything Unless you drag your finger through the middle a lot or view it from the side with a light directly at the crease you will forget it is there I type this is my Z Fold7 where it isn't an issue

Some think Apple invented everything in tech. Reality is, innovation is a relay, ideas build over time across the industry. Apple excels at refining and popularizing, but the story is bigger than one company. Appreciate the product without rewriting history. #innovation

@durreadan01 Well, it uses NFC and that's how it works. The first implementation of this was in 2012 with Samsung's S Beam (Android Beam) .

@_TheJasonC People's expectations for Apple always far exceed reality. I have no oubt that Apple will make a compelling foldable, but it is unlikely that it will far exceed the competition.

From the reported branding to the specs, The iPhone Ultra is different. Yes Foldables have existed for years from Samsung to other manufacturers It's different not in Innovation, Specs or Hardware. There's a feeling to every launch and this is different in perception and expectation it's "Premium" the branding tells customers it's the Best iPhone in 2026. For Samsung, Foldables just seem like another device, another product line. There's an excitement around Apple that hasn't been there since iPhone X, It's a sense that this is going to be special.

@phonefuturist The advertisement claimed ‘zero feel crease,’ a notable distinction, but did not specify how long this effect would last. Regardless, Oppo’s advancement, widely regarded as significant, marks another important step toward potentially eliminating creases entirely in the future.

@Phonenurd Chinese tech firms aren’t alone in using ‘creative’ marketing. Apple was sued over false claims about Apple Intelligence, and Samsung was sued for exaggerating the durability of its Z Fold 3.

Another "tall claim" from a Chinese phone brand bites the dust. 📉 The Oppo Find N6 was hyped to the moon for its "zero crease," and the social media knights were out in full force drum-beating the brand. Fast forward one month? It looks like shit. Always take these claims with a massive pinch of salt. Trust issues: justified. 🧂📱 #OppoFindN6 #Foldables #TechReview #Smartphone Image :- @BenGeskin

@dhaveedsc3 Both are great, but I'm currently on a crusade against ecosystems. I view the ecosystem features as a way these companies use to trap you into their products. Especially Apple.

@TheGalox_ I’ll have the Oppo Find N6 this week and will report back after extensive use. The crease is an overblown issue, most of the time, you won’t notice it. Reviews show Oppo’s improvements are a major leap forward. Well done, Oppo!

Apple has over 1,200 camera engineers. Samsung has 1,000 pros plus 439 mid level, and they’ve spent billions rebuilding their camera algorithms. Yet you think spec-heavy, AI-driven Chinese phones will outperform them? Even the S25 edge had a full computation built around it.
