@Phonenurd @nothing For me, it looks like a spec sheet gimmick, at least for now. The panel may technically be capable of 144 Hz, but Nothing has not enabled it in software for the system UI or any apps at launch. Whether this gets fixed via a software update remains to be seen.

They’re marketing the Phone (4a) Pro with a 144Hz display, but it literally caps at 120Hz in every single app. If Apple or Samsung pulled this "false advertising" move, the tech world would be in flames right now.

@Phonenurd Adaptive Brightness even makes it dimmer! That's really bad, haven't expected this.
How long did you use it before the test, and how high was the temperature?
Samsung is known for throttling display brightness extremely aggressively.

Even at 100% max brightness, Galaxy S26 Ultra looks noticeably dimmer than the S25 Ultra next to it. For a "pro" display, this feels like a weird regression. Anyone else seeing this? 📱🔆 #GalaxyS26Ultra #Samsung #TechTalk

@Nomoreultra I also have both of them in three different colors, and I have no reason to share anything wrong about S26 Ultra or any brand, as I am not being paid by anyone. I believe in neutrality rather than being a knight of any brand.

Thats a very big noticeable difference. Even if its because of throttling s26 is dim thats also bad because samsung just shifted from titanium to aluminium!

To anyone who says the privacy display makes the S26 Ultra worse...show them this side by side to S25 Ultra...

@Phonenurd @nothing The 144 Hz Refresh Rate might only be available in some Games but the SoC they have provided might not be able to handle it anyway.
