We cannot let this crisis be used to further normalize CLEAR. It is an insane thing that should not be allowed to exist. We should not have a Disneyland FastPass system for airports.

Just saw the most grim family at a restaurant here. Mom on her phone. Dad on his phone. Three kids on their iPads. No one talking for an hour straight. Borderline scary. Straight out of black mirror. Youngest gets bored and tries talking to the dad. No response. So he starts playing with the water bottle and spills it by accident. Dad freaks the fuck out and pulls him by his ear. Starts shouting “you always do this! Get your stuff we’re leaving!” Was honestly hard to watch. Then I start looking around and noticed every single kid at every single table was scrolling on their phone. Parents were totally unbothered. I know. I know. This is where the “wait till you have your own” crowd chimes in. My opinion with that crowd? Cope. Don’t care. It’s ok to admit the world has changed and that people didn’t know any better, but now? We know better. This is not normal. Kids should not be glued to these devices. These phones fry our grown up brains, can you even imagine theirs? P.S. We get to our gate, 20 mins later, same guy from that family walks by on the conveyor belt. Holding his son up by his collar… while on his phone.
