@MatthewDicks Started reading #Storyworthy few days back and journaled my thoughts into 'Homework for Life' sheet before bed. Finding my centre amidst this war.

“Knowing that the paths of most creators are not linear, nor are they simple, can be enormously reassuring on those days when all seems lost and the horizon seems impossibly far away.”

An underrated skill that all founders, sellers, and marketers should have is knowing how to tell a story.
I got listen to one of the best @MatthewDicks give a talk on how to tell a story.
I took five pages of notes...
Dropping everything in this weeks newsletter 📚
English

For 70 straight days I reviewed the day with 8 questions.
But these 2 were the most impactful:
- What is one memory from the day I could turn into a 5-minute story?
- What is one lesson or realization you made today?
Shoutout to @MatthewDicks & @DickieBush for these prompts.

Homework for Life.
In February, I joined the first Storytelling cohort presented by @MatthewDicks of the now-renamed startup Profile.fyi of @krishna_kiran_ and @arpit_bhayani
It was great to hear stories from Matthew and many cohort members.
My biggest takeaway was the Homework for Life exercise shared by Matthew — matthewdicks.com/homework-for-l….
It has been 100 days since I started doing my Homework for Life on February 10th.
There were days when I missed, but I wrote the entry the next day while events were still fresh and not forgotten.
Looking back, as I read my entries, the memories come back.
I now enjoy writing 2–3 lines in my Homework for Life sheet every night.
Thank you, Matthew Dicks, Krishna Kiran and Arpit Bhayani!

@DylanJardon Man, thank you so much for publishing these videos, your comments are super useful 👏
BTW I've learned this trick with "but" and "therefore" from @MatthewDicks book "Storyworthy", it is an awesome read!
twitter.com/that_igor_/sta…
Igor@igormomentum
Tell your story with simple words, the way you’d tell it on the family dinner. Use present tense to emphasize important events. Connect sentences with “but”, “therefore”, but not “and”. It adds energy. A shorter story often is a better story. Avoid extra events and noise.
English

Why aren't your videos viral?
Bad hooks
You gotta STOP THE SCROLL – otherwise your entire video is wasted
But don't worry...
Hook are just 2 parts:
1) Image
2) Text
Let's focus on the image....because it appeals to our lizard brain.
(We understand images 60,000x faster than text)
Here's my brainstorming trick.
Say the topic, then say the first image that comes to mind.
Example:
Red Bull Formula 1 → Car + Max Verstappen
Now use pics of these
But spend 10x longer than you think editing them to WOW the viewer
Watch my breakdown for the full details👇
