I love playing chess for 20 minutes before bed. Easily the best 6 hours of my day

@MaxChess_ My mom taught me. She had a large, sand-filled ceramic set with a really thick wood board. I remember needing 2 hands to move the pieces when I was little. They were people with faces (except the knights still horses ofc). Their hats signified their piece. Lost it in a flood.

Seen my mom playing it, I wanted to play with her ♥️ Do you believe in love at first sight? It just happened ✌️ Tbh I had some really long breaks (years) because I had no friends who played chess, so I couldn't really play a lot and improve myself 🥹 It's 2026, we almost live our lives on the internet, we even have web3, blockchains and so much more Literally almost anyone can play chess with randos, join like-minded communities and make new friends along the way who share the same passion ♟️🙏 My advice for everyone is to give itba try, you might accidentally fall in love with board 👑 Am I right?

@MaxChess_ Both clearly all-time greats. Kasparov's career much longer. Fischer 1971 narrowly edges Kasparov 1988 + 1999, but not enough to place him above overall. Career compare via chessmetrics:
