the idea of a "use translation" or a "use i18n" directive intrigues me. i am aware that it has been explored, but i think perhaps not in the right way...
typically these directives are used to mark separation between two bundles for a compilation tool ("use client" is probably the best example of this). if an i18n library were to introduce a "use i18n" directive, to me that would mean generating multiple versions of a bundle, one for each locale. in other words, a server would serve a different bundle for each language
such a system introduces lots of overhead and definitely breaks a lot of assumptions that many modern frameworks have made, but it definitely keeps me up at night...
