This really highlights the difference between conservatives and liberals. First, I’ll ignore your ignorant remarks about racism. Just tells me your primary source material is social media influencers and short memes. In other words, you’re a bigot and an idiot. But back to the difference… liberals hate everyone that they perceive to have a different view. Conservatives appreciate gifted entertainers- at least more so than a liberal ever would.

Watching some MAGA accounts cheer for Norway and Haaland is absolute cinema.🎦 🇳🇴 They seem to see a 6’5” blond Viking and assume he’s some kind of ideological soulmate. Meanwhile, Norway is one of the strongest examples of a successful social democracy in the world, and Haaland has publicly supported anti-racism campaigns throughout his career. It’s another reminder that people often project their own politics onto athletes instead of paying attention to who they actually are. And it’s ridiculous, funny and shocking a bit, but not much at the same time.

@shanaka86 @grok this rocket looks small compared to the ones SpaceX lands. What’s the height difference or other key differences?

BREAKING: For 10 years the world believed there was one way to reuse a rocket: land it upright on its engines, the way SpaceX does. Today China refused to copy it, and pulled off something SpaceX never managed on a first flight. It caught the rocket instead. The Long March 10B lifted off from Hainan, China this morning, and about 6 minutes later its first stage came back down toward a 25,000-ton ship at sea. It did not land. Hooks on the falling booster snagged a net of tensioned steel wires strung across the deck, the wires riding robotic rails that slid into place to meet it. No landing legs. No touchdown. A rocket plucked out of its own descent by a moving net, on the maiden flight of a brand-new vehicle. No one handed China this. SpaceX guards its rocket tech as “trade secrets”, not “patents”, precisely so it cannot be read and copied. China watched a decade of public flights and then built an entirely different machine to reach the same prize, catching instead of landing, which sheds the heavy legs and spares the fuel a soft touchdown burns to hover. And this was never about cheaper satellites, though it delivers those too, feeding the thousands of birds in China's Starlink rival. Its deeper purpose is the Moon. That booster shares its core with the rocket meant to land Chinese astronauts on the lunar surface by 2030. In the same season, America's own Moon rocket, Starship, has flown 12 times and still has not shown the single maneuver its lunar plan depends on. One flight does not dethrone SpaceX. It has landed hundreds. What ended today is not SpaceX's lead. It is Uncle Sam’s belief that it owns the only road to the Moon. The piece works out which way of coming home actually wins.

A historic day in China’s space program! China’s Long March-10B has successfully completed its maiden flight—and recovered its first stage via a sea-based net. This marks the country’s first-ever controlled rocket recovery. A major leap toward reusable launch capabilities. 🚀🌊🇨🇳

Cara, vocês babam a China.

MAGA is absolutely SEETHING today after Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani delivers yet another campaign promise—while they are still waiting for Trump to fulfill his first. Mayor Mamdani is overhauling New York City Transit, returning 48 hours of travel time per year to New Yorkers. That’s two entire days on a bus eliminated every year. Here’s what the updates include: • New rapid bus corridors reserved exclusively for buses. • Replacement of 40% of the aging fleet with brand-new vehicles. (2,500+ new buses) • Fast-response dedicated teams assigned to each borough. • All-door boarding. • 100 new bus stop shelters. • New benches and leaning bars installed at 875 bus stops. • Guaranteed seating at every bus stop. • New trees and protective covers at every bus stop to shield passengers from the elements.

@ProudSocialist Without capitalist countries, China was failing. They saw that and responded. Capitalist companies started doing business, primarily manufacturing, in China once it was allowed. Capitalism saved them. But who saves communist countries if every country is communist?

I’m sure he is. Today’s younger generations have been convinced they’re helpful victims and they need Robin Hood to go steal other peoples money to save them. Free stuff. It’s the Dem model for decades he’s just taken it to another level. Of course, it will fail as it has throughout history.

Do you hear yourself? You didn’t root for the US team purely because of Trump. You have a disease sir. I detested the great divider Obama and the dead brained Biden but I still rooted for US teams such as the Olympics. It’s liberals who are tearing this country apart. A bunch of self-centered, loser crybabies- if they don’t win, no one else can win. Trump needs to extend an offer to allow liberals to renounce their citizenship in exchange for $10k and a one way ticket to any European country.

Gemini accurately reflects IRS/Census data on net outflows of people and AGI from high-tax states like NY/CA to lower-tax ones like FL/TX. Those patterns exist. For NY millionaires specifically, state tax data shows a different nuance: out-migration peaked in 2020 (~3,300+), fell to ~1,700 in 2024. Top earners leave at roughly 1/4 the rate of others. No major spike after tax increases. Net millionaire households grew overall from income gains. Housing costs, remote work, jobs, and lifestyle are big drivers too—as Gemini notes. Billionaire moves stay rare and anecdotal. Taxes factor in for some, but evidence for taxes as the main cause of ultra-wealthy flight is mixed and weak.

Here’s what Gemini says. Are you smarter? The assertion that Americans are migrating away from high-tax states is supported by two primary sources of government data: the IRS and the U.S. Census Bureau. While taxes are not the only factor, the data shows a clear shift of population and wealth toward states with lower tax burdens. Here is the primary evidence driving this conclusion: ### 1. IRS Statistics of Income (SOI) Data The IRS tracks migration by looking at the mailing addresses on tax returns year over year, which allows them to measure the exact amount of Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) moving between states. * **Wealth shifting:** Recent IRS data shows high-tax states are losing billions in taxable income. In a single year, California lost roughly $11.9 billion in AGI, and New York lost $9.9 billion. * **High-earner flight:** Taxpayers making over $200,000 (the highest bracket tracked by this specific IRS metric) move at disproportionate rates. In a recent IRS release, over 45% of Florida's net resident gain consisted of individuals in this high-earning bracket. * **Frequency:** According to the National Taxpayers Union Foundation's analysis of IRS data, a taxpayer moves to a no-income-tax state like Texas or Florida approximately every four and a half minutes, while one leaves California every two and a half minutes. ### 2. U.S. Census Bureau Data The Census Bureau tracks state-to-state domestic net migration (people moving within the US). * **The correlation:** The states losing the most residents proportionally have the highest average per-capita state and local tax collections. * **The top destinations:** Between 2020 and 2025, the states with the highest net domestic migration growth (like Idaho, Florida, South Carolina, and Texas) consistently rank in the top half of the Tax Foundation's State Tax Competitiveness Index. | Top States Gaining Residents | Top States Losing Residents | |---|---| | Florida | California | | Texas | New York | | North Carolina | Illinois | | South Carolina | New Jersey | | Tennessee | Massachusetts | > **The Nuance: Is it just taxes?** > While the correlation is strong, researchers (like the Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center) point out that taxes are rarely the sole driver. **Cost of living and housing affordability** are massive factors. Many individuals leaving high-tax states actually fall into middle- or lower-income brackets, indicating they are fleeing the high overall cost of living (rent, groceries, utilities) rather than strictly escaping top-tier income tax brackets. Furthermore, the permanent shift toward **remote work** has enabled workers to prioritize lifestyle and affordability without sacrificing their salaries.

NY tax data: ~1,700 millionaires changed residency out of state in 2024 (down from 3,300+ peak in 2020). Rates for high earners ~2.5%, approaching pre-COVID levels. Fiscal Policy Institute analysis: Top 1% earners leave NY at ~1/4 the rate of others in normal years. No statistically significant spike after tax increases; many move to other high-tax states. Billionaire departures are anecdotal and rare. Broader high-income outflows exist (per IRS AGI data), but evidence ties them primarily to taxes is mixed—COVID, housing, and jobs factor heavily. No clear mass exodus from recent Mamdani policies yet.
