@Dechance__ I’m not saying you’re totally wrong. I respect that opinion, I just don’t have any confidence in anyone at the bottom of the line lineup who will get on base for him to drive them in after all he has brought here to drive-in runs at least that’s what we were told

@MetCastPod Maybe the leader in RBI’s for this team ? Perhaps the guy who hit two hrs yesterday 🤷🏻‍♂️or maybe he’ll drive himself in with a lead off hr , all win wins here 🤷🏻‍♂️I don’t see a downfall to him leading off

I am probably in a minority here, but I dislike the idea of Juan Soto hitting Lead for the Mets I want him coming up to the plate with guys on, not just being an automatic walk in the Lead off spot

@TheMetsX Do people realize that leadoff hitter rarely come up to bat with runner on becuase people at the bottom of the lineup don’t get on?? So yea, it does matter

@MetCastPod You don’t usually have bad takes but this may be one of the… you absolutely want a player who draws as many walks as Soto does leading off because of that reason alone.. almost guaranteed to get on base with 0 outs 🤷🏻‍♂️

@MetCastPod Put Benge in CF. Ewing in Right. Soto in left. Clifford at first. Vientos at DH. Baty at 3rd. Bo at SS. Trade Lindor for a SP. Get a catcher. Platoon Polanco/Simien at 2b. Weaver should close. DFA Peterson, Manaya and Senga. Lots to do but it’s not impossible. And FIRE Stearns.
