The most resilient currency in the world?" The Cedi enters the chat. After a 40% appreciation in 2025, the Cedi remains steady in Q2 2026. This stability is attracting global investors like never before, making Ghana the premier destination for West African trade.

Allowing a president to bypass Parliament sets a precedent that can lead to future misuse of executive power, threatening legal stability. @Woodcoffie56 @thedemocratblog @tein_knust @tein
Mahama’s Big Push Ambassador ®️@Woodcoffie56

After @NtimFordjour has finished with his press conference on the LGBTQ. Ghanaians will also ask these questions ⚖️ 1. On Constitutional Process •“Under Ghana’s Constitution, can a president make a law without Parliament approving it?” •“If we bypass Parliament today, what stops future leaders from doing the same on other issues?” •“Are we willing to weaken democratic institutions just to achieve this one goal?” 👉 This highlights that laws must follow due process. ⸻ 🏛️ 2. On Separation of Powers •“Isn’t law-making the responsibility of Parliament, not the president?” •“What role do we want Parliament to play if we ignore it when it’s inconvenient?” 👉 This reinforces the principle of checks and balances. ⸻ 📜 3. On Precedent •“If a president can sign a law without Parliament today, what happens when a future president uses that same power against your interests?” •“Would you support this approach if the issue were something you disagreed with?” 👉 This makes people think about future risks. ⸻ 🇬🇭 4. On Rule of Law •“Do we want a country governed by laws or by pressure and emotions?” •“Should public pressure override legal procedures?” 👉 This shifts focus to national stability and fairness. ⸻ 🗳️ 5. On Representation •“Parliament represents the people—why should their role be skipped?” •“How do we ensure all voices are heard if due process is ignored?” ⸻ 🌍 6. On Ghana’s Global Standing •“What message does it send internationally if Ghana ignores its own legal processes?” •“Could this affect investment, diplomacy, or Ghana’s reputation?” ⸻ 🧠 7. On Practicality •“Even if signed without Parliament, would such a law be legally valid or enforceable?” •“Wouldn’t it likely be challenged and struck down in court?”
