Prayer to Saint Rita for Impossible Situations and Desperate Needs O holy Saint Rita, faithful servant of God and patroness of the impossible, you who endured suffering with patience and trusted God in all things, I come before you in this time of great need. Intercede for us before the Lord, in situations that seem beyond hope, in burdens that feel too heavy to carry, and in trials that have no clear answer. Saint Rita, obtain for us what only God can provide— a breakthrough where there is blockage, peace where there is turmoil, and hope where there is despair. Teach us to remain faithful in suffering, and to trust in God’s mercy even when the path is unclear. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.

As a Catholic, I find it abhorrent that the President of the United States would publicly attack the Successor of St. Peter. Donald Trump is flailing. His war in Iran has led to the death and injury of American servicemembers and the death of Iranian children. He will attack anyone or anything to try to protect himself, even the Church that millions of Americans find faith and comfort in every day. The American people deserve a president who understands the consequences of his words and takes responsibility for his actions.

Eight years ago, I interviewed @ThomasEWoods about Catholicism, and at the end of the episode, I told him "Well, I'm still open to Catholicism. Maybe I'll see you at Mass some day." But really, I was just being polite. I would have put the chances of conversion at less than one percent. Technically possible (hey, anything can happen), but extremely unlikely for somebody with my hyper-independent approach to philosophy. The trajectory at that time was looking like I'd end up with a bespoke religion -- a religion with one member, myself, attempting to synthesize everything I've learned together into a coherent whole. Well... look who got the last laugh. I think Tom was right. Today, my wife and I joined the Church and were confirmed Catholic. A totally unexpected plot twist in my pursuit of truth.

I ask everyone, in this moment, to still your heart and turn your spirit toward prayer. Our dear brother and Patriot @JamesCo50723189’s son has been in a serious car accident and is in urgent need of divine covering. Please call upon the Lord for His healing hand, His mercy, and His peace to rest upon this young man. May the angels of protection surround him, may every injury bow to the name of Jesus, and may strength and comfort flood his family during this trial. Let us come together in faith, believing that nothing is beyond God’s power. 🙏 Thank you for standing in unity and lifting him up before the throne of grace. Amen.

My neighbor came over around 600pm. She had a problem with her hot water tank. The problem was a leak. The tank is done. She was going to call a plumber but I told her I’ll take care of it. A plumber on a weekend would be crazy expensive. I went to shut the water off to the tank. The water valve wouldn’t turn. It’s also done. I shut the water off at the meter. Lucky I had some valves here at the house. I fixed that. Told her tomorrow we can run out and get a new tank and I’ll put it in. I know she doesn’t have a lot of money. She’s elderly and all alone. So my son and I will take care of it. She offered to pay. I told no, just get us a pizza for lunch.

I'm a Christian, unmarried woman in her 30s. I'd love to get married and have children. Just because I haven't experienced those things yet, doesn't mean I don't know that they are good, and what women should strive for. I do want to ask though, what should unmarried Christian women do in their "waiting season"? Settle? Shut up? Be utterly boring and unsuccessful? Live at home off of our parents until we meet someone to take care of us? Work less hard so that men will be more apt to pick us up? What does that say about what men want? Why would a masculine man be threatened by a woman who is passionate about her career and hobbies? And why is it the assumption that a woman's passions and skills aren't transferrable to motherhood? Most working women I know ARE feminine and would LOVE to be traditional SAHMs!
White Baby Factory@WhiteBabyFac

Alex Clark has some good ideas and I've enjoyed listening to her podcast in the past, but I don't think it's wise for her to have a prominent role at TPUSA's Women's Leadership Conference considering that she's still unmarried at age 33. I'd much rather see a woman up on the stage who has embraced marriage and motherhood, like Rachel Wilson or Gina Bontempo. It makes no sense to me that a woman like Alex is still single if she truly holds conservative Christian values. What could be stopping her from finding a husband after all these years? She's famous for her conservative views, and there are so many great guys who would love to marry an attractive conservative Christian woman.

This is a Divine Mercy story. Twenty odd years ago, I went to Confession. Had very good reason to do so. Told the priest, "I don't think God can forgive this." The priest didn't hesitate. "Well that's bullshit." (Priest was from Melbourne, so imagine this line spoken in an Australian accent). Then he said: "Jesus is the King of Mercy." My penance was to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet. I told the priest I didn't know what the Divine Mercy Chaplet was. So he handed me a pamphlet and told me to use a rosary to pray the Chaplet. I told him I didn't have a rosary. He said, "Bullshit. You do now." At which point he pulled a rosary out of his pocket and gave it to me. It was his personal rosary. He also told me to get my hands on a copy of St. Faustina's diary "Divine Mercy in my Soul," which I literally found on the parish's "book giveaway" table at the back of church as I was walking out after Confession. Fast forward 20+ years. Our first-born child was baptized on Divine Mercy Sunday. And our sixth child is Magdalene Faustina (it took that long because we had four boys between daughter 1 and daughter 2). So yeah, I guess you could say today is a pretty important day for me, my wife, and our family. Jesus, I trust in you!

"Influential"? These guys are all Boomer liberals, Francis appointees who do not represent the mainstream of US Catholic opinion, and certainly not where the spiritual energy is among the laity. Nor the future of the Catholic Church in the US.

5 years ago, my little girl was secretly being groomed and transitioned at her public school. 4 years ago, she was still lost in a dark cloud, suicidal, identifying as a “boy” named Toby. Last night, she went to her first prom with her boyfriend — glowing with confidence and grace. Thank you, Jesus, for saving her. 🙏🏼 What the enemy meant for evil, God is turning into good. If you’re a parent fighting for your child right now and it feels hopeless, please hold on. There is light on the other side. I won’t stop fighting for your horror story to have a happy ending, too.
