We deeply hope that this war will end soon and that peace will be restored without further harm. Also because we really want to see μMoon fly 🚀 Until then our account will remain silent - take care and hopefully see you again soon!

It was quiet on this account for a while now and here is the reason why: Due to the current geopolitical situation in Europe, we are sad to announce that our launch campaign has been postponed.

That enabled students and pupils to ask a question and receive a live answer. Check out @fhasof or take a look on the youtube of FHAachen to rewatch the livestream. #Space

Our #moonday today is less sciency and more an update of what happened today: Today a live call with the German astronaut @astro_matthias happened at our university. With the ground station of @fhasof a time slot of over 10 minutes was generated.

Welcome back to a new #moonday. Did you know that the biggest known hexagon of our solar system is a cloud pattern located around the north pole of #Saturn? The sides are about 14500km long, which is longer than the diameter of #Earth. And the wind speeds are around 320km/h.

Did you know that after its launch on the 25.12.2021, it recently successfully exposed it's main mirror and that this is over 6 meters in diameter? That's taller than three average humans standing on top of one another. #Space #Fact #JamesWebbSpaceTelescope

There it has to undergo a few test to pass this review of acceptance. Four of our teammates will participate and hopefully will be able to share their experiences on our Instagram! 🚀 #moonday #Space

Hello everyone. Today's #moonday is less a science fact but more an insight into our project. The next upcoming event is the EAR. The "Experiment Acceptance Review". The clue is in the name. This week our experiment has to got to Bremen.

New #moonday everybody. You all know Pulto, right? But did you know, that our former 9th planet has 5 moons? The most known moon is Charon. And Charon is so heavy, that Pluto and Charon circle around a center of mass wich is located outside of Pluto's diameter. #Space #facts

Therefore a booster of the classic known rockets will still be needed to finalize the trajectory into orbit. But what do you guys think of this idea? Check out @spinlaunch to learn more about their launch! #space #facts #Rocket

#moonday Do you guys know @spinlaunch ? If not, you should check them out! A few weeks ago this company accelerated a rocket using a centrifuge and succeeded to launch a 3m-rocket without any fuel. Even though they reached up to 8000 km/h, this is not enough to reach the LEO.

And it has another gimmick: due to it's clockwise sense of orbit, #Phobos overtakes the surface of #Mars and - unlike other celestial bodies - rises in the west and sets in the east. #Space #facts

Happy #moonday. We are glad that you survived Halloween. Did you know, that #Phobos orbits #Mars less than 6000 km from the surface? It only takes 7 hours, 39 minutes and 12 seconds. It's orbit is thus much shorter than Mars' rotation.

Welcome back to our new #moonday . Did you know, that there are at least 100 - 400 Billion stars in our home galaxy alone? Those are more stars, than humans ever lived on #Earth . And of all those stars, we can't even see 0,001% with our eyes. #SPACE #facts

Actually, Jupiter's aurora is sending heat in equatorial direction. As we have already mentioned in our Io moonday, Jupiter's aurora is fueled by Io, wich results in radiation power up to 100 Tetawatt. #space #facts

Welcome to a new #moonday. For decades the "Jupiter energy crisis" was a riddle for astrophysicists. But new data found by NASA's Juno Spacecraft, may have found a solution. Jupiter's upper atmosphere is hotter than it should be but why?

Hello again to a new #moonday. Today we want to talk a bit about @NASAHubble . Did you know, that on July 17th NASA returned the Hubble Space Telescope back to science operations? After a month of system break down Hubble now continues it's 31 year legacy. #space #facts

The heating mechanism needed for this light or terrain is still unsolved. But mission JUICE from @ESA is set on Ganymed to gather more insight. In conclusion,  #Ganymed gets 7.5 out of 10 earth moons. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑🌑

Well, well, well. Even though we already had #Titan as a #moonsideration today's moon is the real titan. #Ganymed. The biggest of them all. With an diameter of 5268 km it is 26% larger than #Mercury but it only hot 45% of Mercury's mass.
