Pope Leo XIV was welcomed in Monaco today on his first European trip since being elected pontiff last year. His trip comes 488 years after last papal visit by Pope Paul III in 1538. His Holiness travelled from the Vatican by helicopter for the one-day trip and was welcomed by Their Serene Highnesses the Prince and Princess of Monaco before visiting the palace and Monaco’s cathedral. I was pleased to join colleagues from across the Francophone community for an exchange marked by the presence of H.E. Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary-General of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (#OIF), following welcoming remarks by H.E. André François Giroux Wiseman, Ambassador of #Canada, and under the chairmanship of H.E. Sidibé Fatoumata Kaba, Ambassador of Guinea and President of the Group. The discussion highlighted several key priorities for the Francophonie, including the promotion of the French language, support for stronger francophone representation in multilateral institutions, the fight against disinformation, and the place of French-language content in the digital sphere. At a time of growing international uncertainty, such exchanges are an important reminder of the value of dialogue, solidarity, and cooperation across the Francophone world. 🌍 La situation des ressortissants monégasques et leurs accompagnants est suivie avec des contacts réguliers.  Le Gouvernement les invite à suivre les consignes de sécurité émises par les autorités locales et à rester en contact. Leur sécurité est une priorité. Une vingtaine de personnes bloquées à Dubai et Abu Dhabi ont pu embarquer hier sur des vols qui rentrent en Europe aujourd’hui. Le Gouvernement appelle à la vigilance les personnes qui doivent se déplacer à l’étranger. Il leur est demandé de s’assurer du caractère impératif du déplacement et de sa faisabilité si celui-ci transite dans cette zone géographique. N’hésitez pas à contacter vos compagnies aériennes à cet effet.

Le Conseiller de Gouvernement-Ministre des Relations Extérieures et de la Coopération, @IBerroAmadei, a fait le point sur la situation des ressortissants monégasques au Moyen-Orient.

Avis urgent aux voyageurs monégasques au Moyen-Orient 28 février 2026 En raison de la dégradation de la situation sécuritaire dans plusieurs pays du Moyen-Orient et de risques en cours, le Gouvernement Princier appelle les ressortissants monégasques actuellement en déplacement ou en séjour dans la région à faire preuve de la plus grande vigilance. Il est demandé aux voyageurs monégasques de ne prendre aucun risque, de limiter strictement leurs déplacements, de se conformer sans délai aux consignes de sécurité édictées par les autorités locales, et, le cas échéant, de rester dans des lieux protégés en se tenant éloignés des zones exposées. Les ressortissants monégasques sont fortement invités à s’inscrire sans délai sur le dispositif Fil Ariane du Ministère de l’Europe et des Affaires étrangères français, afin de recevoir les alertes de sécurité et informations utiles en temps réel. Par ailleurs, il est demandé à tous les voyageurs monégasques présents dans la région de se signaler auprès du Gouvernement Princier, pour communiquer leur situation, leur localisation et leurs coordonnées, afin de permettre un suivi approprié. Un numéro est à disposition : +377 93 15 30 15. Le Gouvernement Princier continue de suivre l’évolution de la situation avec la plus grande attention et rappelle que la sécurité des ressortissants monégasques constitue une priorité absolue.

2026 : 20 ans de l’Ambassade de Monaco aux Etats-Unis — Une année d’histoire et d’amitié En 2026, la Principauté de Monaco célèbre le 20ème anniversaire de la présence de son Ambassade à Washington, jalon symbolique d’une présence diplomatique désormais solidement ancrée. Cette année de commémoration s’inscrit également dans le cadre du 250ème anniversaire des États- Unis d’Amérique, offrant une opportunité de mettre en lumière la profondeur des liens entre les deux pays. Cet anniversaire dépasse la seule dimension commémorative, il illustre une diplomatie fondée sur la culture et l’innovation et tournée vers un dialogue constant entre institutions et sociétés civiles. Dans ce contexte, un protocole d’entente sera signé au printemps avec «America 250» (america250.org), l’organe bipartisan chargé de coordonner les célébrations nationales du 250ème anniversaire de l’Indépendance des Etats-Unis d’Amérique. Cette signature se déroulera à la Résidence de l’Ambassadeur, ancienne demeure du 29ème Président des États-Unis, Warren G. Harding, et sera suivie d’une réception réunissant partenaires institutionnels et amis engagés dans ces célébrations. L’année 2026 sera également marquée par le 70ème anniversaire du mariage de S.A.S. le Prince Rainier III avec Grace Kelly, symbole du lien humain et culturel entre la Principauté et les États- Unis. À cette occasion, l’Ambassade développera, en partenariat avec la Princess Grace Foundation– USA et le Smithsonian, une initiative culturelle destinée à mettre en valeur l’héritage associé à la Princesse Grace, dans une approche à la fois historique et contemporaine. Dans cette même perspective, une attention particulière sera portée à Philadelphie, ville de naissance de Grace Kelly. Plusieurs temps forts jalonneront l’année 2026 à Washington, à New York et dans d’autres villes partenaires : rencontres institutionnelles, rendez-vous culturels et initiatives philanthropiques réunissant amis de Monaco, acteurs culturels, partenaires privés et représentants de la sphère publique. Enfin, dans le cadre d’America 250, Monaco prévoit l’émission d’une série de timbres marquant cette date historique et célébrant, à sa manière, l’amitié ancienne entre les deux nations. Le programme détaillé sera présenté sur le site monacoeventsusa.com au fur et à mesure de sa finalisation.

Today the U.S. Ambassador to Monaco Charles Kushner, presented his credentials to HSH Prince Albert II and Ms. Isabelle Berro-AmadeÏ, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Cooperation. He and Mrs. Seryl Kushner were then received by the Minister of State Christophe Mirmand for lunch presided over by T.S.H. Prince Albert and Princess Charlene (all pictured below). Ambassador Kusher holds a bachelor's degree and an MBA from NYU and a J.D. from Hofstra University. He is the founder and current chairman of Kushner Companies, a real estate development firm. He was twice appointed to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Board and has also served as a commissioner of the Port Authority of NY & NJ. He was awarded the 1999 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in NJ and received honorary doctorates from Touro College and Yeshiva University.
