Ngl I was very bullish on @MetaDAOProject
I loved the idea of ownership coins + futarchy in a space where everyone is tired of teams with no commitment and coins with no rights
But let’s be honest @futarddotio failed, I never thought it was a good idea btw, MetaDAO had a trust premium and just threw it away
And since Avici every launch has been disappointing, either teams underdeliver, or there’s insider trading and they end up insulting their own community
Imo MetaDAO should have focused on finding the best teams, not pushing as many launches as possible, but I guess they just wanted to focus on AMM revenue
I'll follow the project, but it's been very disappointing

I’ve been banging the drum for transparency, objectivity, and fair treatment for everyone with Amy.
I want more onchain terms and clearer communication in this space, not less.
That’s exactly why I have issues with @publius_val’s slash of @berachain on @ethos_network.
I’m no fan of secret side letters – this stuff should be onchain or in the public domain wherever possible. But calling this one of the worst governance crimes in crypto and nuking 200 Ethos points off a single, contested article feels… off.
A few things can be true at once:
> The clause exists, sure. But even the Unchained piece says Nova had to wire $5m within 30 days of TGE for the refund to be live, and that they couldn’t verify whether that ever happened or if the right was exercised. Presenting it as "Nova can demand 100% back today" skips a pretty key condition.
> As far as anything public shows, Nova hasn’t exercised it, hasn’t rage-refunded, and is still being treated (and behaving) as a major holder / liquidity partner on Berachain.
> Side letters / special terms are unfortunately standard in raises across Sol, Monad, L2s, perp venues, etc. If the bar for a slash is simply "there was a non-public investor protection," that standard needs to be applied everywhere, not just to the friendly chain with a bear.
I actually think the article itself is ok – it shows the docs, talks to lawyers, and is explicit about what it doesn’t know. That’s what we should want from investigative journalism.
My issue is with the way it’s being repackaged on X.
Turning a conditional, unverified clause into a live, "risk-free, unconditional, 12-month full refund" is an editorial and not a neutral recap.
Slashing 200 points off that framing, and then treating it like some objective Ethos verdict, is one user’s call – not facts.
Ethos is supposed to be a reputation layer, not a courtroom. A reputation system should say:
> “This looks bad, the optics suck,”
> “Here’s what we still don’t know (deposit, activation, MFN, etc.),”
> “We’ll move the score if real facts come out, in either direction.”
Right now, it feels different: one user writes an overconfident TLDR, hits the slash button, and suddenly it’s presented as a neutral judgment on Berachain.
Scroll the replies under the slash post, and it’s pretty clear a lot of people aren’t buying that framing.
This doesn’t look like some clean, slam-dunk governance expose – it looks like a contentious, half-resolved situation being sold as a finished story.
That’s the signalling mismatch for me. Long term, I do want these deals onchain and transparent so founders and users can actually see the terms they’re building on.
But until we hold every big raise to that standard, a single overconfident TLDR plus a quote-tweeted slash shouldn’t be treated as a final, objective verdict on Berachain.
I voted to defend - you should too.

1. The docs are complete and we published them online for the public. I don't see what more we could do.
2. I don't know if BHD's fund exercised the refund right or not, as stated in the article.
3. However, my guess would be that they haven't asked for the refund, because the most rational move from Nova would arguably be to wait until the last possible day to exercise the refund right (call option). If BERA pumps, they can keep the tokens. If BERA stays where it's at currently, Nova can get its money back.

Berachain đã dành cho Nova Digital (quỹ thuộc Brevan Howard) một đặc quyền cực hiếm: được refund toàn bộ 25 triệu USD trong vòng 1 năm sau TGE, nếu họ… không hài lòng với giá BERA.
Đây là điều khoản gần như chưa từng xuất hiện trong các thương vụ token sale hậu TGE.
Nói thẳng: Nova bước vào thương vụ với rủi ro gần như bằng 0. Nếu $BERA lên giá thì quỹ hưởng lợi, nếu $BERA giảm giá thì quỹ lấy lại tiền mặt.
🎯 Cơ chế refund hoạt động ra sao?
Nova đầu tư 25 triệu USD, mua BERA giá 3 USD/token.
Từ ngày TGE 6/2/2025 đến 6/2/2026, họ có quyền yêu cầu @berachain trả lại toàn bộ tiền mặt, đổi lại họ bỏ luôn phần token allocation.
Nova chỉ cần nạp thêm 5 triệu USD vào ví do Berachain chỉ định trong vòng 30 ngày sau TGE để kích hoạt quyền này.
Hiện giá BERA đã rơi về khoảng 1 USD - thấp hơn 66% so với giá Nova đã mua. Theo logic mà nói thì kiểu gì Nova cũng sẽ đòi hoàn tiền.
📌 Vấn đề nghiêm trọng hơn: nhiều VC không biết điều khoản này tồn tại
Một số nhà đầu tư Series B khẳng định họ không được thông báo rằng Nova có quyền hoàn tiền. Điều này đặt ra một rủi ro pháp lý lớn:
Điều khoản Most Favored Nation (tối huệ quốc) của các quỹ khác có thể được kích hoạt. MFN buộc dự án phải cho các nhà đầu tư cũ quyền lợi tương đương nếu có ai nhận được deal tốt hơn.
(Cái MFN này anh em nào học thương mại quốc tế thì chắc chắn hiểu, kiểu nếu Việt Nam cho nước A một ưu đãi thuế rất tốt, thì Việt Nam cũng phải cho tất cả đối tác thương mại khác mức ưu đãi thuế tốt tương tự)
Nếu MFN được áp dụng, không chỉ Nova mà nhiều nhà đầu tư khác cũng có quyền yêu cầu refund, đẩy Berachain vào thế cực kỳ nguy hiểm.
😵 Trong khi đó, hệ sinh thái Berachain đang gặp sóng gió
Outflow hơn 367 triệu USD chảy sang chain khác trong năm 2025.
$BERA giao dịch quanh đáy lịch sử.
Mạng lưới từng bị tạm dừng trong vụ hack Balancer, dù đã cứu được 12.8 triệu USD.

🙃 Bera cố xoay chuyển tình thế?
Greenlane tuyên bố lập Digital Asset Treasury 110 triệu USD để gom BERA. Tin này đẩy giá lên trong vài giờ, nhưng cả cổ phiếu Greenlane và BERA đều quay đầu giảm mạnh.
@SmokeyTheBera (co-founder) vẫn cố vực dậy tinh thần cộng đồng, tuyên bố “revenge arc” (hành trình trả thù) cho Berachain.

Nhà phân tích on-chain @Tractor3000k vừa cáo buộc Luigi Demeo (@luigidemeo) – Giám đốc Chiến lược (CSO) của Ava Labs – đã thực hiện giao dịch nội gián, dựa trên dữ liệu on-chain do chính anh tổng hợp. Theo phân tích, mỗi lần Luigi đăng bài nhắc đến các bộ sưu tập NFT trên Joepegs, ngay sau đó lại xuất hiện giao dịch mua bán đến từ một nhóm ví cụ thể, ví dụ như ví 0x91eb… Trùng hợp hơn, những ví này liên tục giao dịch đúng vào thời điểm các dự án nhận được tài trợ hoặc được Foundation hỗ trợ mạnh, làm dấy lên nghi ngờ về việc tận dụng thông tin nội bộ. Chưa dừng lại ở đó, Tractor3000 còn phát hiện một ví khác có hành vi “đi trước Foundation” gần như hoàn hảo: lần nào Foundation chuẩn bị mua, ví này đều vào lệnh trước.
