@DaaChazz @ITeachFirst4 There’s a good deal on the BIC pastel mechanical pencils and Ticonderoga soft pencils. I use the soft, or #1 pencils for students who write very lightly or have difficulty pressing down enough for their writing to be clear to read. amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls…

One idea? A traveling eagle puppet named Scout who visits students’ homes and returns with adventure journal entries to share with the class.
