Today I introduced the BARK Act to help America feed hungry shelter animals. We need everyone involved to get this bi-paw-tisan bill passed into law, including from our furry friends. We’re in dogged pursuit of passage this Congress.

@wmataGM today my friends and I are going to attempt to tap into every Metrorail station in the WMATA system, a challenge that, by our estimates, will take nearly 20 hours (or about as long as the trains are running on Fridays). I will keep you updated on our progress….

It's become harder to see the northern lights in the immediate DC area but still a faint glow -- especially visible with more sensitive camera lenses. Keep the pics coming as you get them... sometimes the lights fade and then come back!!! (We're getting tons and thanks everyone)

The new Silver Spring Rec center has Teqball! Super fun sport to try. Also good for kids who play soccer to help with ball control. I can’t say I’m any good but it was fun to give it a shot.
