Due to the increased number of firework complaints by local residents, I met with the Friends of Norris Green Park and Merseyside Police to discuss the impact and ways to tackle this disruption.

Would you like to name our new horse?! 🐴 Two months ago, we welcomed beautiful Scottie to our Mounted Team. Scottie is a four-year-old Irish Sports Horse and is 16.2 Hands (5.4 ft). Scottie is currently being ridden twice a week and mostly doing groundwork while he builds up his strength and muscle. He absolutely LOVES food, and grazing with his colleagues Beau and Daisy! ❤️ All of our current horses in the Mounted Section have a name reflecting a location in #Merseyside, and we are now letting a member of the public choose one for Scottie. Up to now we have: Barnston (Beau), Leasowe (Arnie), Childwall (Cleo), Allerton (Chunky), Dingle (Albie), Prenton (Silver) and Kensington (Owen). The name must be any location in Merseyside, it can even be a street name, or the name of a well-known place, such as a park. You can vote by leaving a comment below, and the winner, who will be chosen by our Mounted Team, will be given the chance to meet #PHScottie and get a tour of the stables 🥰 Please leave your comments by midday on Friday 25 October!

Don't we know it! We've had Labour control here throughout the @AlderHey Springfield Park debacle. From what we've seen, they actively supported giving our park away inc houses being built on the Park with @lpoolcouncil & @AlderHey sharing profits 50/50 telegraph.co.uk/money/property…
