@FurkanGozukara @ZackPolanski He does drive, doesn’t drink or take drugs. Hence the Green policies. I’m not sure why he wants to legalise drugs

Absolute bombshell on Sky News. Green Party Leader Zack Polanski completely exposes the toxic drinking culture in Westminster. He brutally roasts Nigel Farage and Labour MPs for defending politicians who get drunk before voting on laws that affect 69 million people.

@clairebubblepop So you’re 5. It’s not the billionaires or millionaires it’s their businesses which are employers, growth drivers, creators, innovators, entrepreneurs. They’ve built industries, products, places, production

Mick Lynch wants a progressive wealth tax, which is a Green Party Policy, with the richest paying the same as everyone else on PAYE, 47%. That would bring in hundred of billions, it is time for the richest to pay what everyone else has been paying their whole lives.

"[A] wealth tax [...] is backed by an extraordinary 75 per cent of voters, with just 12 per cent opposed. In the current climate, almost no one in public life is prepared to tell 75 per cent that they are wrong." -They are wrong, though. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/04/2…

The Green Party propose a 1% wealth tax on people with over £10m that would bring in £50-60bn a year for our Public Services. Do you support this idea?

Many 10s, 20s & 30s already believe the Government simply won't have the money left to pay them a state pension We must do right by our children and grandchildren and return state pensions to normal growth, so they still have a viable state to inherit telegraph.co.uk/money/pensions…

People replying that it is as simple as supply and demand - babe, have a look at the profit line for property developers or the benefits of land banking, look at what privatisation has done to our bills, or stranglehold of big agri - nothing to do with immigration and all to do with capitalism. Reform and their flags will solve none of the above.
Saul Staniforth@SaulStaniforth

.@faizashaheen: "We fixate on this issue, on stop the boats.. meanwhile our bills are going up, are housing is so expensive, our childcare costs are insane" Spot on. The rich and powerful want us angry at refugees rather than being angry at the real problem - them.

All said whilst he lunched on Ribeye steak in a fancy hotel and the deputy leader of Reform UK owes the taxpayer £100k. But sure, lets talk about 13million living in relative poverty in Britain right now and why that may be.

@narindertweets My mum is just on the definition of relative poverty. In real life she isn’t, she’s having a lovely life at 90. My son is a NEET and classed as in poverty, he isn’t. Trouble with measuring relative poverty as 60% of a median, there will be people who below artificial poverty line

@TheUsefulldiots @faizashaheen @ZoeJardiniere The Government can. It doesn’t need to pretend private house-builders are the answer. 50 years this has been a problem but is exaserbated by population growth…. 70m up front 60m in 20 years

I’m calling for a ban on firms that donate to political parties from winning government contracts. Politics is too close to big money. It raises questions on who our democracy serves. Break the link - show Labour stands for the public interest, not private profit.
