I’d like to thank my colleagues who offered me well-wishes, as my appointment as the Superintendent of Schools for the East Ramapo Central School District was approved on Tuesday evening 4/13/21. I start the new role on 7/1/21. My 35 years of service to the NYCDOE was amazing!

I want to thank everyone for such an outpouring of support for the loss of my mother, Bertina Ellis, to the coronavirus. She battled with all she had, but finally succumbed on April 8th. She was 97 years-old. The first photo is my mom with me as a baby, them mom recently.
