Calm down America. Our founders put in a system of checks and balances that will be guardrails for whomever gets elected whether they like it or not. There are no communists or fascists being elected. We live in an emotional social media world where everything is exaggerated and emotions are being spun up. We will have more elections in two years. No one should forget how America reached this chaotic moment that has President Biden leaving the race just months before Election Day. Over two years ago, No Labels proposed a Unity ticket as an insurance policy against exactly this sort of scenario. It was clear to millions of Americans that a Trump/Biden rematch was a disaster in more ways than one. Unfortunately, the same elites who boxed out competitors in the Democratic primary also worked to shut down our effort. Now we are seeing the consequences of their potentially unlawful maneuvering and scheming to limit Americans’ choices. If Democrats actually believe it when they say they want to save democracy they have an easy way to prove it. They should select a Unity presidential ticket now that includes a Republican on it.
