In 2025, Israel killed 54 Palestinian children and teens in the West Bank. in B’Tselem’s latest report, we bring you the story of each and every one.
Since 7 October 2023, Israel has killed 1,086 Palestinians in the West Bank; 241 of them were children or teens, including Sam Abu Haikal, a seven-month-old baby .
The violence did not stop with the act of injuring or killing. In many cases, the forces held up medical teams trying to access the child, without offering first aid themselves. Israel is still holding 18 of the bodies, a practice it frequently employs, which amplifies the families’ suffering.
Under the Israeli regime, no Palestinian is safe, while any Israeli who harms them enjoys close to full impunity.

JP Smith has pushed Shotspotter in Cape Town for years. Its efficacy in reducing gun violence is non-existent but we’ve still spent a fortune on it.
Was Shotspotter paid for and used in Cape Town because of its DA connections?

To those with the audacity and heartlessness to compare this to Palestinians, throughout the Gaza War every single Palestinian and Gaza was supplied with more than 3000 calories a day. Do not feel sorry for John. He has historically been very happy to dish out similar BS when he could. It’s just his turn now and quite frankly he deserves this and much more that should come to him.
If he still has some of his ruthlessness I imagine he will go lick his wounds and begin campaigning with the aggrieved in the party to achieve revenge in an epic manner. Should that happen I give the party two more election cycles and then well…

John Steenhuisen’s removal as Minister by Geordin Hill-Lewis reeks of a resurgence of the laptop boys in the DA, or at least a similar lobby. You will hear terms like “the liberal centre of the party” used a lot more frequently going forward, and that’s because Tony Leon and GHL’s “chief advisor” espouses that kind of political speak. John’s removal had little to do with his mediocre performance and much more to do with a seemingly re-pivot in the party back to “its liberal core” which can mean anything at this point

Something like 40 countries have an official state religion. Israel is not one of them!
In fact, that Israel defines itself as a Jewish state is not even a religious designation.
That Mamdani continues to make this mistake and continues to focus on the world’s one Jewish state as a state he can’t support … I’m not sure how one can even say anymore this isn’t blatantly anti-Semitic. He continues to single out Israel for condemnation in a way he does for few other countries

In the interview, and specifically in the clip that Cohen quote-tweets below, Mamdani goes out of his way to say he doesn’t support any country that doesn’t treat its citizens as equals, whether it is Israel or Saudi Arabia, he says.
Yet Cohen still shamelessly claims that Mamdani “continues to single out Israel for condemnation in a way he does for few other countries.”
Oh the gaslighting. Oh the dishonesty.
