@TheGPhC 6/ The GPhC told me its ‘concerns team’ will look into Mr Ali’s use of the title ‘pharmacist’ albeit ‘retired’ - that’s the GPhC whose original ruling that his comments in 2017 were not antisemitic was quashed by the High Court. @habibi_uk @APPGAA @simonmontefiore @simon_schama

@TheGPhC 5/ So, what about @theGPhC? It says it has statutory powers to bring private prosecutions for criminal offences which includes using the title ‘pharmacist’ where that person does not have an entry in any part of the register.

1/ Could Nazim Ali, warned by @TheGPhC after they (eventually) found he made antisemitic remarks at an Al-Quds day rally in 2017, face prosecution for calling himself a ‘retired pharmacist’? He describes himself as such on LinkedIn. @antisemitism @mishtal

Everton Fan Advisory Board made its “deep disappointment clear in discussions directly with senior leadership” over “significant” ticket price increases. Anger that “many loyal match‑going fans now face rises of up to almost 10%...the decision suggests a preference for short-term financial gain at the expense of loyalty”. #EFC

EXCLUSIVE Sir Keir Starmer has been forced to drop legislation which would cede sovereignty of the Chagos Islands to Mauritius in a further deterioration of relations with Donald Trump The Times has been told that a bill underpinning the controversial deal will not be included in the King's Speech next month after the US president branded it an "act of great stupidity" and withdrew his support The government stands by the deal and will attempt to persuade Trump to change his mind but has acknowledged that it cannot proceed without his backing Ministers are "deeply frustrated" with Trump, who initially supported the deal after extensive discussions between intelligence agencies but changed his mind during a dispute with Nato over plans to seize Greenland The government believes that it puts the future of Diego Garcia, the UK-US base in the islands which has been used during the Iran war, at risk It is concerned that Mauritius will mount a legal challenge granting it access to the waters around Diego Garcia, making it harder for the base to host nuclear submarines and patrol surrounding waters The deal was highly contentious. It would have seen Britain hand over the islands to Mauritius before immediately entering into a 99-year lease for Diego Garcia. The government claimed it would cost £3.5billion, although the Tories disputed this and said it would cost £35billion his over its lifetime. thetimes.com/uk/politics/ar…

Liverpool CEO Billy Hogan has written to all season ticket holders and members ahead of planned protests at Anfield tomorrow over ticket price increases. "Liverpool Football Club fully respects the right of supporters to protest and we acknowledge those supporters who are opposed to this approach. But we would also ask one thing in the days and weeks ahead: that any protest, and any debate, is grounded in the facts - what is changing, why it is changing, and what it means in real terms."

Lukashenko lost his election badly and is still there. Maduro was soundly defeated and refused to step down. Will Europe step up if Orbán follows in their Kremlin-guided footsteps and cries fraud or simply declares victory and refuses to leave?

JD Vance's visit to Hungary was a godsend for the opposition, with Polymarket odds now at 77% that the Russian-backed Orban regime loses Parliament.

This is what Orbán's private estate looks like: a building area of over 10,000 square meters, underground parking exceeding 1,000 square meters, underground tunnels, two swimming pools, a two-story library with an atrium, a "path of reflection," a private chapel, and a mini-zoo with exotic zebras and ostriches. This estate is maintained at the state's expense, as Orbán has transferred it to Hungary's national balance sheet as a "historical property." It's no wonder he clings to power in this way. t.me/MirovichMedia/…

We can all see him, John! His illegal ships sailed through the Channel yesterday unmolested. You and Starmer vowed to stop illegal Russian oil tankers using the Channel. Two 'shadow fleet' vessels were off Britain's south coast yesterday, escorted by a Russian warship (frigate Admiral Grigorovich). All the Royal Navy could rustle up was a lightly-armed support ship (RFA Tideforce, an auxiliary tanker) which could do no more than watch them head for the Black Sea as they passed Dover. So much for your government’s promise to 'go after' the sanction-breaking ships 'even harder'. All mouth and no trousers.

Eleven Iranians were hanged last week. You heard me correct they were hanged in 21st-century for demanding freedom. I’m grateful to @bariweiss, @jaketapper, and @marthamaccallum for giving me the platform to name them. I hope a responsible media must bring their stories and their faces to the front pages. A ceasefire does not mean peace in Iran. The Islamic Republic’s war against its innocent civilians continues, with hundreds still on death row. I call on international community to help save their lives.💔 #StopExecutionsInIran #DigitalBlackoutInIran
Masih Alinejad 🏳️@AlinejadMasih

There is no real ceasefire inside Iran. This is Mohseni Ejei, the head of the judiciary. He has ordered courts to accelerate execution sentences, especially for protesters. Hundreds of professors are on the death row, waiting to be hanged. Do not stop talking about Iran.
