Service to God is the only freedom God is the only one who can do anything Serving anybody else is serving a middleman, whose limitations pass to you Serving yourself is serving your flesh and becoming a slave to your strongest desires Only God lets us choose from beyond what’s most immediately gratifying and most reasonably possible “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16

BREAKING: Iranian officials have told mediators that they have now been tricked twice by President Trump and "we don't want to be fooled again," per Axios. In the two previous rounds of talks with Iran, Trump "green lit" surprise attacks while claiming to be seeking a deal.

As spiritual beings we are innocent and require freedom and flesh to gain the experience of relying on God Our purpose in this sinful world of flesh is to live in sin and overcome it, through God’s mercy “Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.” Isaiah 48:10

@Jordan_W_Taylor "Peak oil" and "energy transition" are at least from the 1890’s Rockefeller’s success was a direct result of betting against the fear mongers

Every wall that humanity reaches has turned out to be a door. A few years ago, you may recall, a virus broke containment (of the natural or laboratorial sort, you pick) and went on to spread around the entire world. The time from the first panicky lockdown to the first genetically tailored mass-produced vaccine was about 9 or 10 months. When I came of age, breathless discussion centred on ‘peak oil’; the point at which an ever-increasing demand for the black stuff would be frustrated by ever-declining production. The doomsayers prophesied that oil production would fall as the most economic sources were drained one by one, and with a sad empty-milkshake-glass slurping sound, all the wells would run empty and civilization would begin to fall. It didn't happen. Not only didn't it happen, but the shale oil revolution turned the world's biggest oil consumer into its biggest producer, and the technological maturity of electric cars and many other things might make the whole question moot very soon anyway. With each limitation we have found another door to open. Urban disease? Sanitation and water treatment. Living space? Skyscrapers and fast underground rail. Speed? The steam engine, the coal fired ocean liner, the internal combustion engine, gas turbine, jet airliner, maglev train… Speech? The mail coach, telegram, fibre-optics, translation algorithms. Smarts? The written word, the slide rule, spreadsheets, silicon intelligence. AI. From Soyuz to Starship, from crop rotation to CRISPR, we have opened doors faster than we can sprint through them. The emerging pseudo-consciousness of AI might be another way to increase the rate, turn up the dial. Is it capable of real invention, or just an imitation machine? It hardly matters. It's just another door. There will be many more. My children will grow up in a world of wonders.

All power and authority comes from God; putting faith in any body and any thing else is at best dealing with a middleman, who is limited compared to God and will extract an additional fee for his/her benefit In return for faith alone, everybody can deal directly with God “…I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.” Revelation 22:8–9

@sircalebhammer @ChrisMartzWX There is a lot of prejudice and misconception about Alabama (and the South in general) by the coastal/international middle class; ironically, they misjudge southerners based on their race/birthplace

I am an Alabama resident. The state of Alabama has a higher GDP per capita than Canada; $66,300 vs. $58,000. We also have lower taxes. As such, Alabamians have more disposable income than Canadians. We can afford nice houses for a fraction of the cost that they would cost in Canada. The median home price in Alabama is around $220,000. In Canada, the median is about $650,000. In Alabama, that could get you a very nice 4,000 square-foot house. A lot of successful people live here. Huntsville, for instance, is home to NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center and a university. They have among the highest number of Ph.D.'s per capita as a result of that. Has Canada sent man to the moon? I'm asking for a friend. There's also Auburn University and the University of Alabama down in Tuscaloosa. They are both very good schools for a college education. Alabama has more daylight hours and better weather, on average. We get more Vitamin D because we can spend more time outdoors. Alabama also doesn't have a carbon tax because our governor doesn't believe in the fairytale that trace carbon dioxide (CO₂) controls the weather. Where Canada arguably has an advantage is in social safety (e.g., violent crime rates) and health (e.g. life expectancy), but it comes at the expense of taxpayers, which reduces individual freedom. Here in the states, you need to work to bring yourself up, and if you do that and put the work in, you have better material living.

Sin separates us from God, who is life and the result is death Jesus, being sinless, overcame death; Jesus, being God, paid the wages of our sin And acceptance of His payment grants us eternal life “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

"Now He that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness; Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God" 2 Corinthians 9:10-12

Sin is not only making mistakes and failing to reach the goal (God) Sin is distraction from God by temporal concerns “And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.” Mark 4:19

As Christians, our very nature influences everything and everybody we come in contact with Every interaction is a spiritual reaction, changing our environment Many will appreciate the change, specifically those whom God has chosen to save Many won't appreciate the change, specifically those who reject our Master "Ye are the salt of the earth..." @cgore4 @Aric333 @HustleBitch_ With enough time and investment mechanical components and materials can be replicated accurately in form and function biological components and materials can’t (currently) be replicated at all, neither in form nor function I wouldn’t buy a fake watch but that’s a bad comparison

🚨 ROLEX EXPERT WARNS “SUPER CLONES” ARE NOW SO REALISTIC EVEN JEWELERS CAN’T SPOT THE FAKES — AND IT’S ABOUT TO GET WORSE A veteran watch dealer with nearly 30 years in the business says the fake Rolex market has quietly crossed a line most people don’t realize. Years ago, spotting a fake was easy. “You could hand it to me and before you finished your sentence I’d say… nope, fake.” But now? He says the new wave of “super clone” Rolex watches look so convincing that he can’t judge them by eye anymore. Now he has to: • Open the watch • Put on a jeweler’s loupe • Inspect every detail inside and out And even then… it’s getting harder. According to him, the factories producing these clones are improving every single year, and within the next 2–3 years, he believes it could become nearly impossible for anyone without decades of experience to tell the difference. He says the same thing is already happening in luxury jewelry. “Just like Cartier. They stopped authenticating Cartier bangles and Van Cleef pieces because the replicas got so good they couldn’t reliably tell the difference.” The bigger problem? He says fewer young watchmakers are entering the trade, meaning fewer experts who even know what to look for. If “super clones” become indistinguishable from the real thing… what happens to the entire luxury watch market?

In sharing the Gospel we are not converting anybody The saved have already been chosen by God We are sheep among goats In sharing the Gospel we are collecting God’s sheep “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:” Ephesians 1:4
