Week 1 of the JT15D teardown is done! We pulled the accessory gearbox, got into the external engine lines, and started getting a real feel for what 10+ years in a warehouse does to an engine. Every fitting was a fight, every seal was fused, and I learned pretty quickly that this teardown is going to demand a lot more patience than I expected. One thing I did not anticipate is how long quality videos actually take to produce. Between the teardown sessions, the scanning, the documentation, and everything else happening on this project, there is just not enough time right now to film and edit the videos I actually want to make. So for now I am capturing as much footage as I can, and once the teardown is complete I plan to go back through everything and put together videos with a bit more production quality behind them. Massive thank you to @jimbelosic @MaxLobovsky (more on that soon) and every single person who contributed to the crowdfund. NONE of this would have been possible without all of you all who decided to support this project, so thank you! An on the ITAR questions, I ran it by an ip attorney and they cant find any issues with doing this, But we are still going through the proper CJ paperwork to have hard evidence that this engine has ZERO compliance issues. This is only the beginning.

@Goolic iirc LNG is way less dower dense per lb of fuel, i would assume that means larger fuel tanks then you would have to change the infrastructure at all airports to handle cryogenic fluids

@Xaraphim I read this the whole time thinking: Everything would be easier, cheaper, cooler and more performance with liquid methane as the fuel. Seems like it would also be an order of magnitude easier to implement than a new generation of turbines.

Almost forgot to respond to this! (Why can't a pin a notification or something so I can easily find it later?) Yeah that's about what it sounded like. (unsolicited advice, feel free to ignore, but I went to music school for voice so I think about this stuff) Consider doing a practice reading (think dress rehearsal) of your scripted sections first next time. It wasn't *bad*, but I could feel when you added an extra thought and were hunting to find your place again. You'll naturally get better with practice anyways, but I think a little attention now could save you time getting there. If you can tolerate hearing your own voice you should listen to the VO from the first one and JUST pay attention to the pacing and flow.
