🇺🇸🇮🇷 What we know about the ceasefire reached between Iran and the United States: The Iranian side claims that the U.S. has agreed to Iran’s 10-point plan, under which Iran retains control over the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. forces withdraw from the Middle East region, and Iran keeps its enriched uranium while continuing enrichment. Trump, on the other hand, states that Iran has agreed to a U.S. 15-point plan, according to which Iran will jointly eliminate enriched uranium with the United States and halt all uranium enrichment. Negotiations are now expected to take place to finalize a mutually agreed version. The gap between U.S. and Iranian demands is clearly massive, which once again suggests that a final agreement is unlikely — Iran will not give up what benefits it, and the U.S. will not give up what benefits Iran. Whichever side concedes can effectively be considered the loser. At this stage, the only conclusion is that a temporary pause in the war has been declared — for two weeks — and naturally, both sides will use this time to prepare for the continuation of hostilities.

Puis donnez votre avis. Dans cet ordre.

The 19th-century Donets-Zakharzhevskyi estate is no more‼️ In Velykyi Burluk, Kharkiv region a russian drone strike has leveled this irreplaceable architectural monument. Completed around 1835, the grand two-story wooden structure had survived the ravages of two World Wars, only to be consumed by a fire sparked by Russian hatred. Seeing this being done to your home, to places that matter is soul crashing. It hurts.

@LipBuTan1 This isn’t collaboration it’s survival. The companies that don’t reinvent semiconductor manufacturing now risk becoming irrelevant in the AI era. Are we witnessing the birth of a new silicon superpower… or the riskiest industrial bet of the decade?

Elon has a proven track record of reimagining entire industries. This is exactly what is needed in semiconductor manufacturing today. Terafab represents a step change in how silicon logic, memory and packaging will get built in the future. Intel is proud to be a partner and work closely with Elon on this highly strategic project 🚀🚀
Intel@intel

Intel is proud to join the Terafab project with @SpaceX, @xAI, and @Tesla to help refactor silicon fab technology. Our ability to design, fabricate, and package ultra-high-performance chips at scale will help accelerate Terafab’s aim to produce 1 TW/year of compute to power future advances in AI and robotics. It was fun hosting @elonmusk at Intel this past weekend!

OH, how embarrassing for China 🇨🇳!! Brazil just put BYD on a “modern slavery” watchlist. Workers had their passports taken. Wages controlled. Packed into overcrowded housing. But sure—cheap EVs, right? This isn’t innovation. It’s exploitation with better marketing. And now the world’s starting to notice. channelnewsasia.com/business/fox-i…

@Mylovanov Blah blah blah blah. And now back to reality. Most critical minerals are present in large numbers in the 20% of what the Russians possess. This 20% is also a land bridge to Crimea. The rest of the country is not interesting.

Ken Cao-The China Crash Chronicle
Iran didn’t suddenly become reasonable. It got squeezed by the US and betrayed by China at the same time. On April 2, China’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Fu Cong, stated that China does not support Iran’s attacks on Gulf Cooperation Council countries. He condemned indiscriminate attacks on civilians and emphasized that maritime routes must remain secure. Speaking at the UN Security Council, he said that escalating conflict in the Middle East not only destabilizes regional peace but also directly impacts global energy, finance, trade, and shipping, harming the shared interests of all countries. He added that the root cause of the conflict lies in U.S. and Israeli military actions against Iran, which he said violate the principles of the United Nations and international norms. Preventing further escalation requires the U.S. and Israel to halt military operations. At the same time, he stressed that the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of Gulf states must be respected. China does not support Iran’s attacks on these countries and condemns all indiscriminate attacks on civilians and non-military targets. He also emphasized that maritime security must not be disrupted. This marks the first time Beijing has openly and explicitly criticized Iran by name at the UN Security Council. This shift shows that Beijing is no longer offering unconditional moral support to Iran. That is a major blow, because as the world’s second-largest power, China’s backing gave Iran significant confidence. Now that China has publicly criticized Iran at the UN, Iran faces a much more isolated position, which has contributed to its willingness to soften its stance and consider negotiations with the U.S. China’s shift is also driven by its own interests. Iran’s disruption of the Strait of Hormuz has heavily impacted China. A large portion of the oil shipments passing through the strait are destined for China, making it one of the most affected countries. Rising oil prices caused by the disruption also hit China hard as the world’s largest oil importer. Under these conditions, Beijing had little choice but to adjust its position. At the beginning of the conflict, China criticized only the U.S. and Israel while avoiding criticism of Iran. Now, it has openly named and criticized Iran, rejected its attacks on Gulf states, and demanded that Iran ensure the security of the Strait of Hormuz. From Iran’s perspective, this shift amounts to a form of betrayal, abandoning it at a critical moment. Losing China’s support has therefore become a key factor pushing Iran to soften its position and prepare for negotiations with the United States.

BREAKING: Iran's Foreign Minister Araghchi says Iran's position on peace talks in Pakistan is being "misrepresented by US media." "We are deeply grateful to Pakistan for its efforts and have never refused to go to Islamabad. What we care about are the terms of a conclusive and lasting END to the illegal war that is imposed on us," he says
