This is my breaking point, I’m so sick of this place. We can't seem to help ourselves from repeatedly complicating very simple questions like "Should children feel safe outside a school?" with endless studies, pilots and consultations until only the loudest voices remain.

@CityofVancouver why are the potted plants in the bike lane? I have put in 2 reports and no responses. This on Beatty near Robson Street. Been like this for 3 weeks. It is dangerous, very hard to get my toddler bike chariot past it.

@CraigCameronWV @fumano I am politically centrist. Far too much market intervention Craig - Condos already fund affordable housing with cash / in-kind CACs, DCLs, double PTT, GST and Corporate taxes. It’s simply insane to suck more blood from the host with rental vacancy taxes on unsold condos.

We are in the midst of a generational housing crisis. We need action. This lack of movement on the Vancouver Plan is totally unacceptable. Work must be expedited. And high-priority pieces - like @christineeboyle's social housing reforms - must be implemented immediately.

Wow -- staff are saying delivering the "Vancouver Plan" will take another 3 years?! So we'll be looking at 8 years since it was launched before it actually leads to anything concrete. What a sad failure of every level of leadership in Vancouver
