#FeelGood . My patient after 11hrs of anesthesia, for a Whipple s procedure, got up with amazing clarity, awake warm & comfortable. The best was when he asked me what time it was, whether I had my dinner and thanked me and my tech. What more can an anesthetist ask for?

@AdityaRajKaul I loved the audience applauding and shouting out when Modi announces demonetisation. Ofcourse,Rakesh s end scene was the icing on the cake. That look on Ranvir deserved an applause too.

𝗡𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗴 2003: 𝗔 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 On 23 March 2003, the quiet village of Nadimarg witnessed one of the most barbaric acts of terrorism in modern Indian history — the 2003 Nadimarg massacre. Yet, like many tragedies of Kashmir, it slowly faded from national memory. That night, heavily armed terrorists belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba entered the village disguised in fake army uniforms. Moving with calculated precision, they knocked on doors of the remaining Kashmiri Pandit families — a small group of about 50 people who had refused to leave their homeland even after the mass exodus of the 1990s. What followed was not just murder — it was cold-blooded execution. The terrorists dragged innocent civilians out of their homes in the dead of night, lined them up, and opened fire at point-blank range. In minutes, 24 lives were extinguished — including 11 men, 11 women, and two small children, one as young as two years old. There was no provocation, no warning — only hate-driven brutality. This massacre was not an isolated incident. It was part of a larger pattern of targeted killings aimed at terrorising minorities and erasing their presence from the Valley. The #KashmiriPandits who stayed back in Nadimarg believed they could coexist peacefully. That illusion was shattered forever that night. Even more disturbing is what followed — silence, delayed justice, and fading outrage. For years, justice remained elusive. The case saw little closure, and only decades later did efforts emerge to reopen investigations. Today, Nadimarg stands not just as a place, but as a reminder — of how terrorism does not just kill people, it kills memory, trust, and coexistence. We must ask ourselves: Why do some tragedies dominate headlines while others disappear into oblivion? Why are the victims of Nadimarg not remembered with the same intensity? @BattaKashmiri For a nation that aspires to stand united against terror, selective memory is dangerous. Remembering #NadimargMasssacre is not about politics — it is about justice, truth, and national conscience. It is about ensuring that such horrors are neither repeated nor forgotten. Because when we forget, we fail the victims. And when we fail the victims, we embolden terror. #NeverForget2003 #23March #JusticeForPandits @ajaykraina #ShaheedDiwas #StopTerrorism #KashmirTruth @BabaKPS2390 @AstroCounselKK @ravikarkara

“We city people buy a few acres of rural land, plant different varieties of fruit trees. After 2 years, when we get 2 fruits, we’re so happy, proudly post on WhatsApp status. Seeing that, a few jealous ones also go buy land. After 3 years, 10 fruits come, we distribute them among friends. After 10 years, we finally get many fruits. But now you can’t even sell them.. all are different varieties! One mango is ‘Mallika’, another ‘Rakhi Sawant’.. no uniformity. You can’t eat so much, can’t sell either… So we start searching for far-away relatives, the ones we haven’t even spoken to in years!” 😂😂

Who says Indians are not innovative? Look at the sophistication of this scam 😱 I almost entered my card details before googling the domain. Insane amount of fraud must be happening with so many people. By the time police starts acting on it, they’d make millions! Terrible 😠

Tamilians owe a special thanks to Chhatrapati Shivaji. When he learnt that the famous Shiva temple at Tiruvannamalai had been demolished and a mosque built over it, he went over and promptly demolished the mosque and restored the temple to its full glory. ia601703.us.archive.org/2/items/dli.er…

@theliverdoc Even if we knew why the patient asked how long they would live, your reply is right. Because life is uncertain. No one is indispensable. I agree with your thoughts.

Patients newly diagnosed with cirrhosis, asking me sweetly but fearfully, how long they would survive and me answering it with "I don't know if I would die in my sleep tonight, and so I am no one to predict how long you would survive" …because we are all humans and human life is small and fragile. It is one thing to prognosticate patients, but a totally different thing to "feed their fears".

Today is the darkest day of my life. My beloved son, Agnivesh, left us far too soon. He was just 49 years old, healthy, full of life, and dreams. Following a skiing accident in the US, he was recovering well in Mount Sinai Hospital, New York. We believed the worst was behind us. But fate had other plans, and a sudden cardiac arrest snatched our son away from us. No words can describe the pain of a parent who must bid goodbye to his child. A son is not meant to leave before his father. This loss has shattered us in ways we are still trying to comprehend. I still remember the day Agni was born in Patna on 3 June, 1976. From a middle-class Bihari family, he grew into a man of strength, compassion, and purpose. The light of his mother’s life, a protective brother, a loyal friend, and a gentle soul who touched everyone he met. Agnivesh was many things - a sportsman, a musician, a leader. He studied at Mayo College, Ajmer, went on to set up one of the finest companies Fujeirah Gold, became Chairman of Hindustan Zinc, and earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike. Yet, beyond all titles and achievements, he remained simple, warm, and deeply human. To me, he was not just my son. He was my friend. My pride. My world. Kiran and I are broken. And yet, in our grief, we remind ourselves that the thousands of young people who work across Vedanta are also our children. Agnivesh believed deeply in building a self-reliant India. He would often say, “Papa, we lack nothing as a nation. Why should we ever be behind?” We shared a dream to ensure that no child sleeps hungry, no child is denied education, every woman stands on her own feet, and every young Indian has meaningful work. I had promised Agni that more than 75% of what we earn would be given back to society. Today, I renew that promise and resolve to live an even simpler life. There was so much life ahead of him. So many dreams yet to be lived. His absence leaves a void for his family and friends. We thank all his friends, colleagues and well-wishers for always being there for him. Beta, you will live on in our hearts, in our work, and in every life you touched. I do not know how to walk this path without you, but I will try carrying your light forward.
