The protestors could just quietly inform all their friends and family that cops basically never kill people who are not resisting arrest while holding a knife. Just not behaving that way is like a foolproof way of staying alive.

Las Vegas is actually a very walkable city if you are willing to climb over like 2 small fences per trip. If you let fences stop you the same trip will take 3 hours though
