He was one of us. A medical student who had just finished his 4th MBBS exams. On the very day of his viva, his heart failed him and the system failed him even more. A hospital was minutes away. Doctors were present. Students trained to save lives were there. CPR was done for about an hour. But the ambulance that came had no oxygen. No stretcher. It had to turn back. And in that gap… we lost him. This is not just one death. This is a mirror held up to a system that is breaking under the weight of neglect. Hospitals without equipment. Emergency services that cannot respond. People who cannot afford care even when it exists. Today it is him. Tomorrow, it could be any of us. This is a call for urgent attention to healthcare, emergency response, and basic infrastructure. Lives depend on it not statistics, not speeches, but real people with dreams, families, and futures.
