Tinubu’s Policies Benefit Poor Nigerians the Most, Not the Rich — Presidential Aide Daniel Bwala Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Public Communication, Daniel Bwala, has argued that the biggest beneficiaries of the administration’s policies are low-income Nigerians. Speaking during an appearance on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Tuesday, Bwala pointed to programmes such as the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) initiative, and healthcare interventions as examples of policies designed to improve the lives of ordinary citizens. According to him, more than one million students have benefited from NELFUND, helping many young Nigerians who might otherwise struggle to access higher education. He also said the government’s push for CNG-powered transportation is already making a difference, although many citizens are calling for greater investment in the sector. Bwala further highlighted healthcare measures, including support for cesarean sections and subsidies for dialysis treatment, describing them as initiatives that primarily serve less privileged Nigerians. He maintained that the direct impact of the Tinubu administration’s policies is being felt most by poor citizens, arguing that the programmes are targeted at addressing the needs of everyday Nigerians rather than the wealthy.

POLITICIANS AND BEING UTTERLY INSENSITIVE.🏛️‼️ How are you busy campaigning when people are being kidnapped in broad daylight? How are you shaking hands and kissing babies for cameras while families are crying themselves to sleep, not knowing if their loved ones are still alive? And the supporters…do not even get me started. The cheerleaders. The people waving flags and screaming names like these politicians are rockstars. What exactly are you celebrating? That your community is bleeding and your preferred candidate chose a rally over a rescue operation? This is not politics anymore. This is abandonment dressed in agbada. The moment you decided your campaign schedule mattered more than the safety of the people who stood in the sun to vote for you, you stopped being a leader. You became a parasite with a manifesto. Power was not given to you so you could chase more of it while your constituents are being taken from their homes, their farms, their schools. Power was given to you as a responsibility a sacred, non-negotiable obligation to protect the people who trusted you with it. But here we are. Kidnappings on the front page. Campaign jingles on the radio. Absolute silence where accountability should be. It is not incompetence at this point. It is not even negligence. It is a conscious choice and that makes it evil. Because you know what is happening. You have the platform to respond. You have the authority to act. And you chose optics over action, applause over accountability, your political future over the present suffering of real people. The most painful part? Those same suffering people will queue under the sun again and vote for these exact faces. And the cycle continues. That is the real tragedy.

For those agitating and clamouring for the removal of President Tinubu in 2027, let me for once, align with your illogical school of thought and join your call, even though it is glaringly unrealistic. Let me assume, for the sake of argument, that it is actually possible. My question then is simple: who exactly is the better alternative among those currently being paraded as potential replacements in 2027? Is it @atiku, whose era as Vice President was marked by controversies surrounding the privatization of national assets and whose former ally, Babachir Lawal, has openly suggested that his emergence could pose serious religious and ethnic concerns for the country? A Fulani man whose who could be perceived as being too sympathetic to interests linked to the Fulani establishment at a time when Nigeria is still battling insecurity. Or is it @PeterObi, who is even the worst of them all. Beyond his tribal and religious bigotry, a fact known by many in the country, he has also consistently failed to convince many Nigerians that he possesses the depth and capacity required for the nation's highest office? A man whose public engagements frequently generate more questions than answers, whose responses are often contradictory, who thrives on highlighting catastrophic narratives, and whose tenure as governor was, according to the people he governed, far from being free of security challenges. To me, these remain the two weakest and worst candidates ever seriously projected to take over from Pres Bola Ahmed Tinubu. If there are other contenders with stronger credentials, clearer visions and greater capacity than those currently on offer, then bring them forward. Perhaps then I may permanently align with your argument for removing Tinubu in 2027 who has placed Nigeria on the path of steady progress. Until that happens, all the noise, propaganda and political excitement surrounding the idea of unseating him amounts to little more than political fantasy and childish play that is unlikely to materialize.
