Incredible that most people haven't seen these. Like, we know what the surface of Venus looks like and most people just haven't seen it. Despite Mars taking its thunder, this to me has always been the most truly alien-looking world that's ever been photographed
Christo Aivalis 🌹🍊@christoaivalis

One thing we don't talk about is how the Soviet Union landed on Venus and got incredible pictures in 1982

@ZaidJilani Zahran is not mire moderate than AOC, his politics are far more radical. He's just less strident

Zohran Mamdani is like five times more moderate than AOC; he’s much better at politics he even convinced the bigot GOP president to fall in love with him. I don’t buy comparisons between the two.

@HeerJeet Why is someone as stupid as Hanania being listened to by anyone except stupid people?

The interesting thing about Hanania is that he has never really given up his fascism, but merely decided (quite reasonably) that fascist goals are better achieved via mainstream liberalism than by the populist right. And he's gained an audience among liberals for this tactical shift.
Richard Hanania@RichardHanania

I naturally have fascist instincts, but I can't be a fascist because I am too smart and intellectually honest. Aesthetically, I love hierarchy, tradition, etc. But every non-liberal thinker is embarrassingly bad. There's no honest alternative.

@infolibnews Menahan's face when Greenwald says this is priceless. He obviously knows what Greenwald is going to say but he still has to act like he can't believe it

Rob Schmitt: "Israel or Iran, which do you think is more dangerous to the West?" Glenn Greenwald: "Israel, with its gigantic nuclear stockpile led by religious and political fanatics, is infinitely more dangerous to the United States than Iran is."

Among other examples of Netanyahu’s genocidal savagery against Palestinian civilians, consider this description by Israeli reporter Yuval Abraham who collected testimonies from Israeli soldiers describing a myriad of arson methods: “Every Arab house we entered had olive oil. We poured the oil on the sofas, on anything flammable in the apartment, and then we ignited it or threw in a smoke grenade. This was a common practice,” one of the soldiers described.

The Gershovitz family was murdered by the regime in Iran, who launched a missile that destroyed their home in Haifa and killed them. May the memories of Vladimir, Lena, Dima, & Lucille Jane be a blessing 💔

@TheOmniLiberal The fact you think the wall (which you can't even correctly name) is the most important landmark in Palestine indicates your absolute ignorance on the topic Though of course seeing you get getting pantsed and spanked for hours by Finkelstein had already demonstrated that

I have openly said I didn't know fuck all about I/P until October 7th and I started doing research on it. In 6 months I was able to debate your best scholars on it and crush them (see: Finkelstein RIP), and the rest avoid the debate (for good reason). Hasan claims to have known about I/P for over a decade and doesn't know literally the most important landmark in the country.

If you are Christian, you must simultaneously oppose two things: political Zionism and Islamism (political Islam). The idea that Christians must choose between being Zionists or supporters of political Islam, which the majority of Muslims and Muslim countries also oppose—is ridiculous. Political Islam is harmful to Christians in the Middle East, and Christians in the West should never participate in normalizing it.

@ryangrim @Narjes_Rahmati They don't actually. Thats why @EliLake briefed against it in the FP. They want Trump to hit civilians directly a la Dhahiya because they have bomb shelters to shield their population

@infinite_jaz @mollycrabapple The degree to which Zionists are triggered by this book is truly astounding to me. If Bundism is such a self evidently bad ideology, why the outrage? It's because they know their ideology is despicable and they can only reconcile themselves to it is if it's the only choice

Zionist dead-enders cannot comprehend embarking on a true intellectual project. Of course @mollycrabapple reckons with the role the Holocaust played in extinguishing the Bund movement. It’s called being a thoughtful person and not a propagandist hack.
