This suggests councils deliberately changed counter settings to omit vehicles stuck in start-stop-idling traffic created by their LTNs. 👇 A desperate act by councils hiding the truth that LTNs increase traffic, congestion & emissions on our community main roads & Red Routes.

Today’s @thetimes article by @andrewellson quotes @NAOorguk report criticising “poor implementation of [LTN] schemes in places where plans had not been developed before the pandemic and local communities were not adequately consulted”. In other words, the @yourcroydon playbook.

What @IslingtonBC @RowChampion forget to mention is how bloody hard they make it for people to get one of these exemptions. They want to see very personal Medical Reports. You may have high rate mobility with DLA and a mobility car but it counts for nothing!

@KayaJunction @IslingtonBC All roads were better in 2021 due to lockdown. There is no clean air spike recorded showing that LTNs did any better, they were just the same as non LTNs. Any (understandable) gains on ltn internal roads are cancelled out by (understandable) worse air quality on ltn boundary rds.
