The craziest part about him being on a 4 fight skid is that he genuinely doesn't look worse, barre the Strickland fight he looks the same as he has in any other fight. It just feels like the division is moving past him and the new guys are able to catch him.

1st among TEs in yards after catch through 8 weeks; most FF pts/game; perfect passer rating when targeted.
Easily led GB by in red zone targets when he got hurt, and only one remotely close now plays for NE.

Been thinking a lot about the Alec Pierce breakthrough as it relates to outside receiver prospects in this year's class.
To summarize it: Pierce was a limited player in his prospect profile/early career but had just enough clear strengths that he could credibly get on the field, eat snaps, be useful (even if a bit sacrificial), to the point that he was then afforded the grace to improve incrementally over time before blooming in 2025.
When looking at developmental outside receivers of this archetype, you need to ask yourself if they check that "credibility" box so that they can actually get the chance to reach their size/speed upside case.

#49ers GM John Lynch said the team hired an independent scientist to investigate the electrical substation. The scientist found what Lynch called a "big nothing burger."
Lynch adds that no free agents or their reps even so much as asked about the substation during FA.

And they have multiple people reviewing the film and they have further review if there is a discrepancy. There are more flaws in people misunderstanding the data than the system itself.

This is what is wrong with PFF. It gives people that are too lazy to spend time watching game film the ability to consolidate an entire player’s worth into a few numbers that tend to be inaccurate.

I still don’t see the Browns trading Myles Garrett anytime soon. But as @Jason_OTC says here, this gives the team “maximum flexibility” to do so if it ever made sense and Garrett agreed to it. Long-term flexibility for the team here, not much short term cap gain.
