I will never get elected to any public office. My first action in office would be to identify performers and cut the deadweight. This means that I would fire over 80% of the government and despite this, it would perform at a higher level. These government bureaucrats would then be forced to enter the private sector and compete. I would then identify and cut all unnecessary programs, the people involved, and aggressively investigate and prosecute fraud. Taxes would be cut, business would flourish, and America would prosper. But nobody has the stomach for this and the deep state would actively spread misinformation about what I am doing, people would believe them, and I would have a literal bounty on my life. This is why proven, successful businesspeople like me don’t go into politics.
