Teslas premium interiors are unbeatable for the price. Been sitting in so many cars that cheap out here! No hard plastics on the lower door card, limited use of hard plastics in the interior and smells good 😎
@teslaeurope Will the approval be HW4 specific or will it include HW3? If not, what will you do with those owners who purchased the FSD package years ago?
Together with RDW, we have officially completed the final vehicle testing phase for Full Self-Driving (Supervised) and have submitted all documentation required for the UN R-171 approval + Article 39 exemptions. The RDW team is now reviewing the documentation and test results package internally. They have communicated the expected approval for Netherlands date of 4/10, shifting from 3/20 previously and we look forward to successful completion of this cooperation.
Following the Netherlands’ approval, European countries will be able to recognize this approval nationally. We are anticipating a possible EU-wide approval during the summer.
Over the past 18 months, this approval has involved a series of intense documentation, development, testing, research & audits. Including but certainly not limited to:
– 1,600,000+ km of FSD (Supervised) testing on EU roads
– 13,000+ customer sales ride-alongs
– 4,500+ track test scenario executions
– Thousands of pages of written documentation for 400+ compliance requirements
– Dozens of research studies into safety performance/results
We're extremely proud of the work conducted with the RDW team up until this point.
We very much look forward to the approval in April, and sharing FSD (Supervised) with our patient EU customers!
Meet the i3, BMW's first fully electric 3 Series and the first sedan on its Neue Klasse platform.
• 463 hp / 476 lb-ft
• 440 miles of range
• 400 kW charging
What do you think of BMW's electric sport sedan? motor1.com/news/790322/20…
@XillixBaker@IowaTesla@Tesla Tesla calls it "12V battery and vent plug" on my receipt for '19 M3. And yes, it died during parking at the airport. The HV-battery kept draining, so I had somebody come and pick it up before it was at 0%.
When your car is going to sit at the airport for a week, just enable @Tesla’s Low Power Mode and walk away. Your car will use basically zero power while it sits.
Insane BMW added a 108 kWh battery in the new BMW i3 sedan... going to be an easy 900km WLTP range.
I do think Tesla hit a sweet spot with the efficient Model 3 at 83 kWh and 750 km WLTP.
The battery needs to fit to the car and Tesla really should find a 88-90 kWh battery for the Model Y LR.
Just like BMW should have kept the 108 kWh battery for the iX3 SUV and find a 95-100 kWh for the i3 but I guess the competition for most range is still well under way.
It is so strange to fill out all the forms to ready a car I will likely not take delivery of anyways 😮💨
I really hope Tesla will provide Model Y with a bad ass battery before 2030.
This car deserves so much better.
🔥🇪🇺 Tesla’s website now lists the 16” QHD display for the Model Y Premium in Europe (except the UK and Ireland).
In the rest of the world, including North America (and excluding China), it still shows a 15.4” display.
@TeslaNewswire In Germany 47.970€
But for 3000€ more you are getting the premium Longrange. So who is going to buy the Standard?. Its way too expansive for all those compromises
🔥🔥🇪🇺 Tesla launches the new Model Y Standard Long Range RWD in Europe!
✅ €44,990 starting price (France)
✅ 657 km WLTP range (estimated ~320 miles EPA)
✅ 12.7 kWh per 100km
✅ Same performance and features as the Model Y RWD.
This is the most efficient and longest-range Model Y to date.
@Arpe_DK@RouteBetter I agree that efficiency is great and often overlooked by other manufacturers. But it still feels strange to have absolutely no progress at Tesla for charging speed since 2017. The other day my 2019 TM#3 added 30 kWh to the battery in 10 mins - great for a quick top up.
I am still waiting on pulling the trigger on a new Tesla. One thing that concerned me going from the amazing Panasonic battery to a LG is that my charging time to 80% will drop from 25 minutes to ~35 minutes.
So where better to test this than using @RouteBetter?
From Silkeborg, Denmark to Lake Garda, Italy.
So here are the results:
My Tesla Model 3 LR AWD (2020)
7 charging stops / total time 17 hr 51 minutes (3 hr charging)
New Model Y LR RWD (2026)
6 charging stops / total time 17 hr 22 minutes (2hr 22 min charging)
Saving 30 minutes of charging going to Lake Garda by having a vehicle with slower charging but a larger battery and a more efficient vehicle.
That is certainly better than my old Model 3 even going into a bigger vehicle. With a family I will never have a charging stop in under 15 minutes no matter what I do.
Are you surprised by this result?
Did you guys see that Tesla now have a 40k DKK trade-in bonus for the Model Y LR AWD?
Rest of the line-up is still 25k DKK trade-in bonus
Standard Y model are listed at 20k DKK.
Standard Model 3 - 0 DKK
@SnazzyLabs Availability of parts is really good here in Denmark too. Many Chinese manufacturers are struggling in this regards with long waiting times if you have a small accident or similar.
For the boys in the back who don't believe I say enough nice things about Tesla: after a rocky start and much encouragement from us early Tesla owners, the company now leads the market in repairability and it’s not close.
Not only are their repair manuals and diagnostic software absolutely free, which is fantastic, but their genuine part pricing and ease of availability/access are better than effectively any automaker currently in business. You don’t need to be a licensed repair shop. You don’t need to put in a PO order. You don’t need to provide a VIN. They just sell you the part.
And because service is not a profit center for them, part pricing is incredibly reasonable, with many suspected to be sold at cost.
Tesla sold 327 cars last week in Denmark 🇩🇰
Model 3 - 9 (I guess the inventory is empty as my dad who ordered in early November is still waiting for his new Tesla)
Model Y - 318 (mostly in the LR RWD config, I found 1 Model Y LR with the old battery. The rest have the LG 5M 83 kWh)
For December Tesla is now at 1921 cars sold. So they will end up right around that 2000 mark 💪
Der er kæmpe ungdomsarbejdsløshed i flere europæiske lande. Hvorfor er det at vi ikke prøver at tiltrække nogle af dem til vores plejesektor, som mangler hænder.
Jeg spørger af ren nysgerrighed
The fact that people think Teslas don’t work in the winter is so hilarious. 😂
• You can precondition the vehicle inside a garage, while plugged in. (No range loss)
• AWD + instant torque + low center of gravity + traction control tuned for snow = better acceleration and control on ice than most ICE SUVs.
• Never needing to get out of your car to fill up your gas tank in frigid temperatures — 99.99% of your charging can be done at home.
• Heat pump + preconditioning delivers cabin heat in ~60 seconds vs 10-20 minutes in an ICE car (and it costs pennies instead of burning a liter or more of gas while idling).
• Weight distribution: 500-600 kg battery flat on the floor = lower center of gravity than ICE vehicles.
• No cold-start battery deaths. ICE vehicles have a 400% higher no-start rate when it drops below -20°C.
There is a reason why Teslas are the most popular vehicles in Norway, and other countries where winter is long, and harsh.
