@mariotwtconfess I think this wasn't as much of an issue for tropical freeze, but was with DKCR. Rambi's redesign and the animals seen in the game aren't the greatest looking things out there and do look kind of generic. There's a reason that nowadays they reverted Rambi to his 2000s look I think

@Retro64__ smg2's opening sequence has very similar mountains, but they're still a lot more simplistic and stylized the mk world mountains also have the less elevated parts at the sides topped with plants like the movie so they seem to have referenced the movie mountains specifically

@PSTPtheDragon oh interesting i've never really thought about that. Yeah while round mountains obviously have been a thing since smw the movie was the first time they did them out of rock and then topped with grass. typically been more abstract and patterned.

Just want to note that for all the times I was told "Nintendo wouldn't bring things over from the movies to the games for synergy". Doesn't seem true anymore now does it lol. Majorly brings into question some bizarre simian changes and the inconstancies with them vs 2D art

In Mario Kart Wii, crashing the game and activating the crash handler will eventually start playing back the contents of the Wii's RAM as sound. Since the data was never intended to be interpreted like this, it ends up sounding like experimental harsh noise music.
