@johnbC74 @AdamWatkinson1 I like to use it for tools in the same way. Rubber black or NATO Black for the base. Then an acrylic gunmetal, Vallejo or AK 3G as they brush lovely. I stay away from dry brushing it with the Tamiya as it’s a bit runny for me and dry brushing.

@PanzerFactory @AdamWatkinson1 I saw another build review using rubber black for tools etc today. Was wondering about it for guns as well. 👍

@RedFiveModels @UNARMOUREDworld Agree, the gloss in a pain in the arse. I use the Mr Hobby gloss and have started using it in matt actually. Nothing compares to the VMS satin though.

@PanzerFactory @UNARMOUREDworld The gloss aint that special in comparison to mr hobby but the satin and matt are unreal.

@IanTheWelder63 Nice job. I have this one as a WIP. The instructions are terrible. Nice kit overall though.

@RedFiveModels My Mrs has a Cricut Maker and it’s quality, I’ve not used it for my stuff, but some of the things she makes are unreal. She does most vinyl signs, but she’s cut fabric, chip board, etc. But it’s an unreal bit of kit.

Anyome got or have used a Cricut machine?

The wait is over, won’t have much time to physically read a book at the moment as I prep for our wedding in 3 weeks. But will be nice to have this on while working or doing bits and pieces. Will get the book as well, for the maps, etc.

@aardvark323 @Writer_Rhys @BPanzers Acrylic varnish as the filters are enamel. Enamel thinners shouldn’t do any damage to the acrylic. Just make sure it has enough layers and has plenty of time to cure. Will give a good protective barrier.

@IrishitguyM Its a running joke between me and @warbird_nerd that some sad Cnut pointed out that i had painted the middle spar on the 109s cockpit when infact it was clear. Like jesus christ man.

@Writer_Rhys @BPanzers Also, try not to use gloss varnish as the filter will not grab very well to the surface as it’s fully smooth. Use a satin or matt as it has a texture that means the liquid will sit in the surface.
